1- Hafeez -- he was in the team after repeated failures, but as soon as he shows some promise, he is dropped

2- MYK brought in to keep ahead of akmal, who also has shown that he is capable of batting.

3- As soon as azhar showed some will to fight, he was left out as well ....


may be all these selections do make sense if Pakistan came in the ground to loose the game, cuz apprently the result of this game does not matter for the finals ...

YK loves to pull, but isn't good at it. Butt tries to pull off the front foot basically. You can't get away with poor pull shots at a place like Perth. Inzi is the only player in the team who can actually pull well.
