Pakistan 1-0 down to Australia after they failed to captilize on chances given to them in 1st final. No 2nd chances for pakistan here. Plain and simple pakistan have to win to take series to a third final in adelaide. Sadly in last 15 years VB series has only seen a 3rd final once.

hopefully the world greatest all rounder (in BW`S eyes) muhammed hafeez will be dropped... however i doubt it..! pakistan also need to sort out top order and or its game over 2-0 Australia!

Pakistan has been playing with spirit for the last few games. Some poor shot selection and biased umpiring cost Pakistan the first game. Now it is time to forget about that game and go all out to win in Sydney.

I would play Hafeez because as Melbourne showed, we need a sixth bowler. When Khalil got injured who would have bowled if Hafeez wasn't there? We would have ended up chasing 270.

It was nice to see Inzi continue his form....he needs to keep that up leading from the front is what I like to see, Shoaib 'bits and pieces' Malik also found some form....he needs to continue that and Butt is due a big one.

Our bowlers did magnificently yesterday in the face of some disgusting and biased umpiring......they need to keep up the good work.

Amid, now that Khalil is out there is no way Hafeez will be dropped.

Hash, one cannot plan for injuries as it is but with Azhar coming in we won't have any choice but to play Hafeez as well. I believe batsmen are the key in one day matches and with Hafeez in we are a specialist batter short.

Also, I suggest just one thread for the match instead of having another for scores (since both end up the same thing).

Go in with the same squad just switch in Azhar for Khalil. No need to tinker we gave the Aussies a scare and should have won. Actually if Azhar had played the first match we might have won due to his bat despite the poor umpring.

Hafeez bowled very well and was tremendous in the field. An it's not like you can expect Hameed or Taufeeq to get any runs at this point.

One problem for Pakistan is that because of the depth in their batting and because the batting is stronger than their bowling, they prefer to chase.

But against sides with strong bowling line-ups - like Australia currently possess - I have always felt it is easier to bat first than to chase under pressure. Even if only defending a small total, exceptional bowling attacks tend to raise their game.

So there is a bit of a dilemma there for Pakistan.

Akmal did well v windies opening in one game but that was against them. He is not right to open and not good enough to do soa gainst the best teams in the world.

As for Salman, people are beingt oo harsh on him. Give the bacha a break. He will come good starting with a massive century in the 2nd and 3rd finals (which will happen cause we going to win at the SCG). Salman's fielding will come good too.

Taufeeq might be a good test slip fielder but he was an awful ODI fielder.... remember the 5th match against India when he was drafted in ahead of Afridi and dropped a couple of sitters including Laxman which allowed him to make a ton (despite averaging about 5 against pak before the game). you know, hafeez isnt a retard. first of all he bowls well, is a really good fielder, and has a solid defence. if he wasnt there the othe day, we would have lost wickets even quicker. your whole one day team cant be a team full of dashers, u need someone who provides a bit of stablity. his scoring shots were actually very nice, and some of his shots that were fours were stopped by brilliant fielding, but thats the luck of the game. and now with khalil injured, we really do need him to bowl. secondly do you really think taufeeq will score now if he is played, its going to be exactly like the india series when they brought him in for hte last one day, he scored 17 and then was dropped for eternity. and hafeez has looked much better at the crease then hameed.

Hafeez is ok... a good bet for a bowler who can bit a bit a la Malik when he first started. He should be cover for Malik. With Malik not being able to bowl the whole team balance is disrupted and thats why Hafeez is in. When he first played against Eng a year or 2 ago he was a great Afridi-style partnership breaker. Never forget him bowling Solanki after him and Tresco had got off to a flyer against Pak....

I believe that Akmal is a good player and might be handy opening the batting BUT clearly the stretagy is not to start playing shots. It is to save wickets..then why shouldn't we play Taufeeq who is known as test-player and give him the job of playing out 12-15 overs forgetting about his strike rate....Because i have the feeling that Akmal is a natural stroke maker...if he will try to defend he will end up playing half shots...i am pretty sure the ball he got out on Melbourne was going for six if Akmal had one mind...His was require to defend but naturaly he is a stroke maker..this induced a false shot....

Then Hafeez might be handy while bowling in SCG but certainly he cant play the fast bowlers well why not put him down at six and bring Malik on top...

2)Or we will bring Azhar in ...he will also add to the batting strenght
