Arey MCM. It depends on their personality!

If they are attacking bowlers, then u either put them on attacking or normal. I have an attacking and destructive and have them both on attacking, and they end up picking up the most wickets for me. So thats why I am going for attacking bowlers now.

In one of the Q&A sessions I'm sure Allan said that you can counter-act it. Say if hes cautious but you want him to bat at pace you can put him at very attacking and it equals it out..

One idea I had was to have its own forum, this would of course depend on how many people are currently playing the game. I can think of several threads already in that forum, such as an FAQ thread, one thread to arrange friendlies with other , one thread to discuss buying and selling players, one thread to discuss your league games, and then threads on individual queries people might have.


I don't agree, why should PP do so much as to help Battrick when Battrick has its own rules section and forums.

I got a conundrum. Many of my Nets players have popped plus I have gotten some new players who seem to be better than my old players. Should I put them in and play them in the league or should I wait and try them out at friendlies before promoting them to my playing XI? How do you guys manage Trainess? Do you not play them at all? Stick to the tried ans tested?

It really depends on the fitness status of your players. One of my guys, my heaviest trainee, Ghias Islam, is only played once a week.

I just bought a player of India Rules for 1000..however i hope to sell him once his mandatory contract period runs out for about 20/30 k

looking at those stats it looks like you need a better number six batsmen.you seem to be playing your traniee islam at 5 that might be the reason that the average for the 5th wicket partnership is so low.

erm depends what you want to change it from. ie from slow to dusty its one day but will take longer if your pitch is hard and fast to change it to dusty. aint you playing away first game in PP tournament?

They will go for runs, but will more than likely take wickets.

Thats how destructive bowlers are. They go for runs AND pick up wickets. Kemp, in my today's game, is the prime example.

10 overs, 75 runs, 3 wickets at very attacking.

yep looks like fc will be coming in next season so everybody will need a squad of about 18 to 20 players. i have about 15 players that i am happy playing in my first 11 so i will need to add maybe another 4 players before the start of next season.

My dilemma now is that, which of the two should I concentrate on? My best players will find it hard to play in both OD and FC. Where do I play them? I guess what will end up happening is that I would use the higher stamina and consistency players in FC which will cause my OD to suffer. And I was going to be promoted to Div III as well! I hope my first few youth pulls are great.

I have a bowler named Joey Allen, he has been getting 3 nets every week, 2 of which are bowling, I have also played him in two consecutive friendlies making him bowl 20 overs and he still has a bowling form of 1! While my other players area increasing, some don't move at all!

I was talking to this guy on battrick chat. He is in Pakistan Div III. He was telling me that Div III is nto that hard. There are a lot of bot teams, as many as 4 in his league. It would be very easy to be number 4 at least in the league. We also compared teams and my team was a little better than his. So that does give me some comfort. Its going to be really hard to cope with the FC games for me. I don't have a whole load of great players. At least my starting XI is competent+, but the stamina issue is gonna suck! Plus, I am getting promoted next year and I don't feel like losing all my next games. I think even if I tried I couldn't.

How do you guys deal with Form? Do you take it into account when selecting your lineup or do you ignore it completely? how much relevance do you think it merits? This has been troubling me a lot and I have not been playing better players because their form is really bad.

Remember form is only temporaray I pick a person on his skills alone and given enough time he is sure to get into form

Nah, I'm a terrible batting first team. I think I'd be able to chase it. I just can't afford another one of those BT collapses. I've had so many this season that it's been unfair.
