It does SD , but you have to be out of the cup so we can fit the schedule in properly, if your not willing to throw the game then you lose that match, you 're choice really but unfair on the opponent.

yea but you had a decent middle order partnership. At one point it looked like I'd have you for 50-60 but you did well in stretching it to over 100.

Also, you should be happy with your bowling. considering I scored over 300 i found it a bit suprising i had lost 6 wickets - Normally when I score big I only lose 2 or 3

I didn't like the new format, I had a bye the first round and lost my second round game. In the old format I would have gotten to the 4th round easily.

I did manage to win my game by 7 wickets but only in the 46th over. My runrate has dropped and now I am 2nd in the league. I needed a big win here but those orders screwed me up. They were able to score 267 but Allen did manage to put on brakes and took 7 wickets in the last few overs to finish with 7/37. I set Gangat up to bowl who is a batsmen instead of my spinner Mangal who is my highest wicket taker this season and he went for a lot of runs.

I hope this doesn't hurt me at the end of the season. In the end, a win is a win.

My quality bowler took 7-9.

I played the best team in our league today. It was going to be very hard for me to beat him so I looked at his team and saw that our batting was fairly evenly matched but his bowling was much much better than mine. Keeping that in mind, I made my pitch flat and set my bowlers to defensive or very defensive. The tactic worked to keep his score low. however my batting let me down, and only the top few batsmen who I had set for defensive managed to stay on the crease at all. How should I have done things differently? How much difference do you think it would have made if I had GFI?

Lost my OD match, some positives are that Xolani made 60 odd in a total of 180ish. And they took 44 overs to make the total so my bowlers bowled very tightly.

However I am now 8th as the "8th" team won their game today against one of the best teams! :O I think he might have TIE. So now where equal on points and he has a higher NRR.

I just won a really good game. I was playing the number 1 player in my OD league and beat him mainly because of Imranullah Javeduddin single-handedly. He scored a century and took 8 wickets! I do realize that he must have taken it easy or thrown away the game so he does not get promoted. He is no longer 1st in our league. Regardless, I feel happy with my performance.

Technically, yes. But when you are doing it for long term benefits, like not promoting to a league before you are ready then I think it is fine. You are not doing it for money or anything like that. Plus your players don't know you are throwing away the game, they play their best.

If they have good batsmen you can bowl first with defensive orders and try to restrict them

Last match when I lost by 5 runs, I had my openers on defensive. This time I thought I would go faster so kept all batsmen at normal. But still, i did not expect such a collapse. Maybe Khalil should play at his usual #4 spot, but his average at #3 is higher for some reason.

The other difference was last time i picked a pitch that suited my batters whereas this time i picked a pitch which suited my best bowler and as you can see he picked up 3 wickets in about 5 overs which got rid of most of your batting.

I am one of those who does not have much faith in individual orders. They never seem to work for me. I get best results when I keep them in normal. I remember the biggest beating I got was when I had set my spinners on defensive on a dusty pitch. i would put some weak bowlers on defensive so that they don't leak runs which has been partially successful at times.

Both me and MCM didn't get to set orders in time before the match started though, this must have had a big impact on the way the game has gone. (I'm thinking MCM would have won this by now if he had his orders set...)

We are very sorry to have to do this and have investigated all sorts of solutions to rectify these problems but with the current issues facing us and the imbalance this has created, we have to make the necessary decision of moving First Class games back one week this season.

I have had an amazing season so far, I had a 12 game winning streak and have only lost one game so far which was the round of 32 cup game against the Div I team Doosra GM.
