That's a great start. His bowling is quite weak. But his batting is good.

Watson hits a six then goes out.

25.5 W Alnwick to Watson
Wild slash from Watson goes straight up, and pocketed easily by Longrigg at mid wicket. A soft, soft dismissal. Poor batting.

All those bowlers were useless. Don't know what to do with them. Should be fired but I want to keep players until friendlies start and then see. A lot of these players were out of form and after the match their form went down even more. How can I bring the form up?

iZeeshan

Randomness (Seriously) and them performing well.

Sean
5th July 2007, 23:31
We can tell you that Gillys Demolition Team won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day.

Tonked for 4 first ball.

0.1 4 Tahir to Frank
Lovely stuff from Frank. He came down the pitch to drive but it wasn't there. He quickly adjusted and flicked the ball fine down the leg side. Real class.

Sean
5th July 2007, 23:39
Lisbie!

1.5 W Lisbie to Frank
Frank hit in front ...huge shout ... umpire's taking his time ... and he's given him. A bit of theatre by the umpire, that looked plumb to me.

Great start after a long time off.

End of Over 2: 7-1, runrate=3.50
Lisbie 1-1-0-1
Morrell* 0 (2 balls)
Monkhouse 0 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Frank lbw b. Lisbie 7 (FOW: 7/1)

Sean

3.2 W Lisbie to Morrell
Went for the big heave-ho, but completely missed it! He hangs his head as he makes the long walk back to the pavilion.

SLIBIE! Lisbie is on fire!

Expensive over there from Slibie. :p

End of Over 4: 16-2, runrate=4.00
Lisbie 2-1-9-2
Monkhouse* 4 (4 balls)
Goff 5 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Morrell b. Lisbie 0 (FOW: 8/2)

Sean
5th July 2007, 23:54
6.1 W Tahir to Monkhouse
Monkhouse isn't happy with that! Clean bowled by Tahir. Just swung in and carved him up!

Yet another wicket! :)

Sean
5th July 2007, 23:57
Another wicket.

6.5 W Tahir to Holsgrove
Holsgrove looked like he was still lining up his middle stump and didn't even see that one coming. As a result his off stump has been smashed out of the ground.

End of Over 7: 31-4, runrate=4.43
Tahir 4-1-15-2
Goff* 9 (8 balls)
Cole 0 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Holsgrove b. Tahir 0 (FOW: 31/4)

Sean
6th July 2007, 00:00
And yet another.

7.4 W Lisbie to Goff
Edged and gone! A crackerjack of a delivery from Lisbie! That did just enough and Goff feathers an edge through to Bridges, who makes no mistake.

Sean
6th July 2007, 00:13
10.6 W Tahir to Cole
Oooooh, what a catch by Vusi! It's not usual for Tahir to get a wicket like that, and Cole is angry with himself.

I'll probably finish them off soon.

End of Over 11: 47-6, runrate=4.27
Tahir 6-2-19-3
Mccarthy* 9 (10 balls)

Sean
6th July 2007, 00:19
12.5 W Tahir to Ohara
Thick edge and... taken by Bridges. That was a great catch, Ohara just looks on in disbelief.

Tahir gets his 4th and the team's 7th. They are now down and out at 7/51.

End of Over 13: 51-7, runrate=3.92
Tahir 7-3-19-4
Mccarthy* 13 (16 balls)
Conrad 0 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Ohara c. Bridges b. Tahir 0 (FOW: 51/7)

Sean
6th July 2007, 00:25
14.3 W Longrigg to Mccarthy
Mccarthy has gone for the big hit. There's a thick edge! Lisbie has caught it!

Longrigg gets his first in his first over.

Not long now.

Sean
6th July 2007, 00:39
Why can't I finish this tail off? It's been 4 overs since the last wicket.

End of Over 19: 59-8, runrate=3.11
Longrigg 3-1-4-1
Conrad* 0 (11 balls)
Noon 5 (21 balls)
Last Wicket: Mccarthy c. Lisbie b. Longrigg 14 (FOW: 52/8)

Hmmm. C'mon, boys. Finish these bowlers off.

Sean
6th July 2007, 00:44
19.2 W Handbury to Conrad
Big appeal by Handbury, and no hesitation by the umpire. That was plumb in front.

There we go. He goes for a 13 ball duck.

Sean
6th July 2007, 00:48
20.1 W Longrigg to Noon
Noon can't belive he has been stumped by Bridges and we cant either.

Brilliant bowling effort from my boys. Should be a massive boost in the NRR.

End of Over 21: 63-10, runrate=3.00
Longrigg 3-1-4-2
Overton* 0 (4 balls)

Sean
6th July 2007, 01:23

Myall* 13 (18 balls)
Saich 18 (25 balls)

Slow run rate. But oh well.

Sean
6th July 2007, 01:42
11.1 W Conrad to Saich
More spin than a party political broadcast. Conrad has made a monkey of Saich with that one!

Damn, Saich goes right at the end.

Sean
6th July 2007, 01:46
12.4 W Overton to Bridges
Jags off the seam and takes the top edge of the bat and balloons straight to silly point!

And Bridges too. :S

And that's the end of the match. Gillys Demolition Team won by 8 wickets.

Hopefully.

We can tell you that Record Breakers won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day.

And I lost an early wicket.

0.5 W Whitehouse to Saich
Crikey. That's a tough call! The umpire's raised his finger for a delivery that's moved back a long way. Whitehouse is smirking to himself as he turns away.

I forgot to put settings on my team.

Myall* 75 (106 balls)
Riley 29 (35 balls)
Last Wicket: Vusi c. Robbins b. Broadbridge 29 (FOW: 109/3)

I'm going well. Myall as brilliant as always. Here are my past 2 wickets.

8.5 W Whitehouse to Bridges
Thick edge from Bridges and the ball travelled very quickly to first slip. He manages to parry it up and Richardson is alert and dives full stretch to take the catch.

27.4 W Broadbridge to Vusi
Attempted hit over the top picks out the safe hands of Robbins at long on.

Sean
8th July 2007, 02:12
42.2 4 Whitehouse to Myall
A fine cover drive whistles away for four.
42.1 4 Whitehouse to Myall
That's a crackerjack stroke from Myall, rat-a-tat-tatting Whitehouse over mid-wicket for four.

Back to back fours from Myall. :)

12 came from that over.

End of Over 43: 200-3, runrate=4.65
Whitehouse 7-0-32-2
Riley* 45 (47 balls)

44.3 4 Whitehouse to Riley
Straying on the legs, Riley flicks to the backward square leg fence, a fine shot!
And that's his fifty! Well played.

50 for Riley.

And a century for Myall! His 4th century in friendlies. 4th in a row I think.

44.6 4 Whitehouse to Myall
One man's bad luck is another man's fortune. Myall seems almost embarrassed that he got a boundary from that inside edge while Whitehouse says a few rueful words to the heavens.
And that's a century for Myall! Well played indeed Sir!

End of Over 45: 218-3, runrate=4.84

49.2 W Heller to Riley
Riley has tried to steer the ball to third man but he has only succeeded in giving Richardson an easy catch. His overconfidence has resulted in a simple dismissal there!

Riley goes right at the end but played very well for his 70.

49.5 W Heller to Barraclough
Spectacular superman dive by the 2nd slip! The batsmen can't believe it but he's out!

Now Barra falls 2 balls later.

Sean
8th July 2007, 02:41
End of Over 50: 261-5, runrate=5.22

Great stuff. I was going really slow and I'm happy with this score.

They scored 87 in the last 10 overs. Very good!

Myall...
Well. What can you say about him? He's a star!

Sean
8th July 2007, 02:52
NO!!!!!!

0.2 . Caskey to Stride
Caskey bowls a tight line and gets an inside edge straight into the ground, it bounces and clips the stumps. The wicket remains unbroken. Stride kneels and kisses the bails, how did Stride survive that?

DAMN!

43.6 1 Charlton to Robbins
Good shot from Robbins for a single, thinner batsmen would have gotten two.

7 (7 balls)

What a come back! Check out the last 10 overs.

7 (7 balls)

46.6 1 Tahir to Carragher
Turned off the hips down to the crowd's favourite Caskey
46.5 1 Tahir to Richardson
Guided down to third man for a single.
46.4 1 Tahir to Carragher
A slower ball and Carragher steers it into the gap for an easy run.
46.3 1 Tahir to Richardson
Good cricket, runs it down to third man and rotates the strike.
46.2 1 Tahir to Carragher
Played out to extra cover for the single.
46.1 4 Tahir to Carragher
He finds the gap between cover and extra cover and, with no sweeper to do the fielding, it's four runs.

End of Over 46: 253-4, runrate=5.50, reqrunrate=2.25 (261-5)
Caskey 8-0-47-0
Carragher* 90 (124 balls)
Richardson 5 (5 balls)
Last Wicket: Robbins b. Tahir 45 (FOW: 244/4)
45.6 1 Caskey to Carragher
Easy single to long off.
45.5 1 Caskey to Richardson
Could have gone for two but Richardson looks a little too laid back for that.
45.4 1 Caskey to Carragher
In the air . . . and safe! Carragher picks up a fortuitous single.
45.3 1 Caskey to Richardson
My that was close! Richardson looked to cut a short, wide ball towards point but got a thick inside edge and the ball whistled past leg stump. Bridges had no chance of stopping it and they take a single.
45.2 2 Caskey to Richardson
Flicked to the on, deep mid wicket fields.
45.1 1 Caskey to Carragher
While the batsmen crossed for the single it looked like the umpire was having a word with Caskey about scuffing up the line on his follow-through. We've seen him do that before...

End of Over 45: 246-4, runrate=5.47, reqrunrate=3.20 (261-5)
Tahir 8-0-52-2
Carragher* 87 (121 balls)
Richardson 1 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Robbins b. Tahir 45 (FOW: 244/4)
44.6 . Tahir to Richardson
Good ball just wide of off and left to Bridges.
44.5 1 Tahir to Carragher
Carragher rocks onto the back foot and cuts it.
44.4 1 Tahir to Richardson
On the toes, managed to stroke it down to fine leg for the single.
44.3 W Tahir to Robbins
Nips back at him and takes leg stump out of the ground.
44.2 1 Tahir to Carragher
Solid stroke to long on for the single.
44.1 1 Tahir to Robbins
Robbins fends it wide of Bridges but he’ll only get one to deep fine leg.

End of Over 44: 242-3, runrate=5.50, reqrunrate=3.33 (261-5)
Charlton 10-0-70-0
Robbins* 44 (33 balls)
Carragher 85 (119 balls)
Last Wicket: Ardley c. Bridges b. Longrigg 13 (FOW: 158/3)
43.6 1 Charlton to Robbins
Good shot from Robbins for a single, thinner batsmen would have gotten two.
43.5 4 Charlton to Robbins
Big slog sweep, one bounce, four!
43.4 4 Charlton to Robbins
Picked up by Myall and thrown back to Bridges. Oh no, he's missed it and that's four overthrows. Terrible fielding.
43.3 4 Charlton to Robbins
Wonderfully timed on drive, four runs!
43.2 1 Charlton to Carragher
Slower delivery, smacked down to mid off, Vusi fielding.
43.1 1 Charlton to Robbins
Straight drive to long on.

End of Over 43: 227-3, runrate=5.28, reqrunrate=5.00 (261-5)
Tahir 7-0-48-1
Robbins* 30 (28 balls)
Carragher 84 (118 balls)
Last Wicket: Ardley c. Bridges b. Longrigg 13 (FOW: 158/3)
42.6 4 Tahir to Carragher
Shot! Tahir drops it in too short, Carragher sees it like a pumpkin, rocks back and pulls powerfully through mid wicket. Not perfectly timed, but he certainly gave it a clout.
42.5 . Tahir to Carragher
On the front foot, flicked around to the mid wicket fielder.
42.4 1 Tahir to Robbins
Played away with a straight bat to mid off.
42.3 4 Tahir to Robbins
He beats Tahir with a straight bat and with no long on and no long off, the rest, as they say, is history. Four runs to his tally.
42.2 1 Tahir to Carragher
A brute of a delivery! A nice bouncer and Carragher didn't know much about it. He turned his head away and somehow the bat found the ball and it flew away to mid wicket.
42.1 4 Tahir to Carragher
Big inside edge and that will run all the way down the hill for four. Tahir is pretty unlucky there.

End of Over 42: 213-3, runrate=5.07, reqrunrate=6.12 (261-5)
Charlton 9-0-55-0
Carragher* 75 (114 balls)
Robbins 25 (26 balls)
Last Wicket: Ardley c. Bridges b. Longrigg 13 (FOW: 158/3)
41.6 1 Charlton to Carragher
Driven to wide mid off.
41.5 4 Charlton to Carragher
Tossed up a little too far down leg side, and Carragher sweeps the ball fine. Saich giving chase but he won't be able to stop that one.
41.4 3 Charlton to Robbins
Drifting towards the pads. Robbins places it wide of short fine leg, the ball heads towards the ropes and a superb save by deep square leg cuts off a certain four.
41.3 1 Charlton to Carragher
One run. On off stump and pushed to mid off.
41.2 4 Charlton to Carragher
Climbs into it and lofts it to the mid wicket boundary.
41.1 1 Charlton to Robbins
Robbins adds one to the total with a fine nick. It's not exactly pretty but it keeps the scoreboard ticking over.

End of Over 41: 199-3, runrate=4.85, reqrunrate=7.00 (261-5)
Tahir 6-0-34-1
Robbins* 21 (24 balls)
Carragher 65 (110 balls)
Last Wicket: Ardley c. Bridges b. Longrigg 13 (FOW: 158/3)
40.6 1 Tahir to Robbins
Short ball, cut to deep cover.
40.5 . Tahir to Robbins
Shortish ball which sits up a little outside off stump. Cut into the ground and straight to cover.
40.4 4 Tahir to Robbins
Robbins clatters it straight back down the wicket. Tahir puts his foot out, but can't take any of the pace off the ball. Four runs.
40.3 1 Tahir to Carragher
A quick single. Good running by the batsmen.
40.2 4 Tahir to Carragher
Steered past a diving extra cover for four.
40.1 1 Tahir to Robbins
Excellent cricket from Robbins, dropping this at his feet and nicking a single.

End of Over 40: 188-3, runrate=4.70, reqrunrate=7.40 (261-5)
Handbury 10-1-48-0
Robbins* 15 (20 balls)
Carragher 60 (108 balls)
Last Wicket: Ardley c. Bridges b. Longrigg 13 (FOW: 158/3)

I honestly thought I just about had it in the bag. Then 54 in 4 overs steered you back to victory! God!

We can tell you that Gillys Demolition Team won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a cracker! Hard and fast - should be a run-fest out there on this sunny day.

Oh what! It's hard and fast! And I wanted it cracked! Hard and Fast (attempting to get to: Cracked)

It was green yesterday!

7.4 W Lisbie to Burton m
Bridges made a spectacular dive there, not sure if it was necessary but it was effective.

The great Lisbie!

Sean
13th July 2007, 00:06
9.1 W Lisbie to Warlow
What a slower ball! Warlow was so deceived he took two swipes at the ball before it took out off stump.

All hail the king!

11.5 W Handbury to Fieldhouse
Bowled him! An atrocious piece of footwork by Fieldhouse; he nearly fell over there.

37.2 W Handbury to Thackeray
Out! The bouncer does the trick. Handbury bangs it in hard and it's onto the batsman quickly. Thackeray shapes to hook but merely sends the ball directly up in the air.
Another wicket, but the wrong guy. Just need to stop the other guy from scoring.

End of Over 38: 178-5, runrate=4.68

44.2 W Lisbie to Muralitharan

45.6 3 Tahir to Blenkinsopp
The ball didn't quite make it to the boundary because the outfield is a bit slow in that corner of the ground, but the batsmen were still able to take three.
45.5 4 Tahir to Blenkinsopp
He waits on it and then drives well through the covers.
45.4 1 Tahir to Habens
That's a neat little late cut through the vacant third slip region for a single.
45.3 4 Tahir to Habens
Habens has punished that straight past Caskey in the covers.
45.2 1 Tahir to Blenkinsopp
Blenkinsopp's worked that nicely between the fielders for a single
45.1 1 Tahir to Habens
On the toes, flicked around to deep mid wicket for the single.

Big over that I didn't need. Tahir is bad at the death.

Sean
13th July 2007, 02:31
LISBIE!!!!!

46.4 W Lisbie to Habens
HOWZAT? Given him. A neat catch by Bridges after a good piece of bowling by Lisbie. Habens just didn't have an answer.

46.5 W Lisbie to Walton
Gone! Lisbie has bowled Walton with a yorker. To top it off, Walton's broken his bat as he slammed it into the pitch trying to keep that delivery out.

He misses out on the hattrick.

46.6 . Lisbie to Walton
Lisbie hits the deck hard and the ball veers up at the batsmen. Wisely left.

End of Over 47: 250-8, runrate=5.32
Lisbie 9-0-41-5
Blenkinsopp* 120 (97 balls)
Walton 0 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Walton b. Lisbie 0 (FOW: 250/8)

Lisbie is a star. 5 wickets. Best figures for him!

Sean
13th July 2007, 02:35
47.5 W Tahir to Walton
He's out! That was a disgraceful shot. It was a wide ball and he's had a little dabble and gifted Bridges a catch.

They have really really collapsed. Hopefully Lisbie can top it off with a 6fa.

End of Over 48: 253-9, runrate=5.27
Tahir 9-0-59-1
Blenkinsopp* 122 (99 balls)
Oconnor 0 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Walton c. Bridges b. Tahir 1 (FOW: 253/9)

Sean
13th July 2007, 02:36
48.3 W Lisbie to Oconnor
Oconnor drives rather uppishly and Tahir takes an absolute screamer diving high to his left.

Blekins is an idiot. A single first ball and Oconnor goes out. What a star. I wonder if Murali the paceman can wreck me? Lisbie has bowled brilliantly! What a star!

End of Over 49: 254-10, runrate=5.18
Lisbie 9-0-42-6
Blenkinsopp* 123 (100 balls)

What figures. And yet again, for the 3rd time in 3 matches against me, Blekins remains not out.

Woops my bad. He went out for 101 last match against me.

Sean
13th July 2007, 02:45
This team has a very poor bowling line up.

Here is what they have conceded in their past 4 matches.

1/310 (50) 2nd team
3/343 (50) Top team
6/309 (48) 5th Team
4/344 (50) 2nd bottom team

I'm odds on to win.

Sean
13th July 2007, 03:12
End of Over 7: 38-0, runrate=5.43, reqrunrate=5.05 (254-10)
Walton 4-0-19-0
Myall* 19 (22 balls)
Saich 19 (20 balls)

Only 2 from that over.

Sean
13th July 2007, 03:18
8.1 W Walton to Saich
Misjudged the line to a straight delivery; Clean bowled and Saich shakes his head as he trudges off past the smiling Walton.

Saich goes early. For 20.

Sean
13th July 2007, 03:28
End of Over 11: 55-1, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=5.13 (254-10)

Myall 30 (31 balls)

7 from the over. just what I needed.

Sean
13th July 2007, 03:42
14.6 1 Muralitharan to Bridges
Solid stroke to the on. Oconnor fielding as the batsmen are tempted for a second run.
14.5 3 Muralitharan to Myall
Muralitharan has dropped the ball a bit short there. Myall has all the time in the world, and hoicks it down to cow corner. Not brilliantly timed though, and they'll have to run them. One, two,... better be quick... THREE!
14.4 . Muralitharan to Myall
Quicker delivery, straight bat, forward, Myall defends to the on.
14.3 4 Muralitharan to Myall
Beautiful cover drive races to the fence. That's four runs for Myall. You won't see a better shot today.
14.2 4 Muralitharan to Myall
Myall rocks onto the back foot and punches that through cover point for four.

Good over there.

End of Over 15: 81-1, runrate=5.40, reqrunrate=4.97 (254-10)
Muralitharan 3-0-23-0
Bridges* 15 (22 balls)
Myall 45 (44 balls)
Last Wicket: Saich b. Walton 20 (FOW: 42/1)

Four from Bridges.

15.4 4 Thackeray to Bridges
Whacked straight over Thackeray's head.

Thackeray 3-0-17-0
Bridges* 20 (27 balls)
Myall 47 (45 balls)
Last Wicket: Saich b. Walton 20 (FOW: 42/1)

I'm in a very good position now.

Stroked to cover, no run.
18.5 6 Muralitharan to Bridges

Full ball. Swished to deep square leg and good running by the batsmen creates a second.
18.3 2 Muralitharan to Bridges
Nicely improvised, not one for the purist though!!!
18.2 1 Muralitharan to Myall
They really should have that extra slip. Edged to third man for a single.
18.1 1 Muralitharan to Bridges

Myall executes the paddle sweep perfectly and picks up four behind square.
29.5 4 Habens to Myall

MCMLXXXII

Today was the first time I played Imranullah Javeduddin in a game. He didn't get to bat but he bowled 4 overs and took 6/6. Really amazing stuff. But I can't really play him much as I am going to add two more nets to him soon. He would never be fit enough to play.

iZeeshan
13th July 2007, 21:08
Yea he should be a real super star! A 6/6 on debut is nothing short of spectacular. He has amazing natural skill

Sean
15th July 2007, 00:31
We can tell you that the flipper won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day.

End of Over 15: 81-0, runrate=5.40
Charlton 1-0-9-0
Ridge* 47 (48 balls)
Curran 26 (43 balls)

I'm playing a different team today. 2 spinners and my batting order has been changed. And once again, when I want a pitch change, it has not become the pitch that I want. I want a dusty pitch and it has become a green pitch. :mad

Not such a good start Sean...

Sean
15th July 2007, 05:07
Here are the wickets so far.

41.2 W Caskey to Cole
Advanced, went for the big hit and picked up straight to wide long on for an easy catch.

42.3 W Handbury to Knight
Yes, no, sorry is the call out there. Knight has been stitched up by his partner there.

47.5 W Tahir to Cam
A massive edge and it's caught behind by Vusi!
47.4 W Tahir to Breen
Great reaction catch by Vusi, taking a ball flicked down leg side at full stretch.

48.1 W Handbury to Malcolm
Got him! Looked to turn a slower ball away on the leg side, but caught the leading edge and a simple return chance is taken.

48.5 W Handbury to Francis
Francis comes forward to a shorter ball just outside off stump, straightens off the seam and finds the probing outside edge, straight through to Vusi.
48.4 W Handbury to Mohammed
Nicked and gone, good catch by first slip. Tahir had a hard time keeping his eye on that, especially since Vusi was diving across in front of him.

End of Over 49: 286-10, runrate=5.84
Handbury 9-0-46-3
De souza* 86 (64 balls)

My batting

0.1 W Francis to Barraclough
Attempted sweep by Barraclough, bottom edge onto his boot, the ball loops up and an amazing, swooping catch by Breen! Referred to the third umpire to check it didn't hit the deck.... OUT!

3.5 W Mohammed to Riley
Riley went for a cheeky single and paid for it when Ridge's superb pick up and throw hit the stumps. Out!

6.1 W Francis to Vusi
Vusi has gone down the wicket to Francis's delivery and hit that straight up in the air. Breen is chasing it, he's right underneath it and safely held. OUT!!!!!!

11.3 W Malcolm to Bridges
Oh dear. Bridges only half commits to that delivery and a feeble piece of strokeplay gives the keeper an easy edge. A bread and butter catch for Breen that one.

Was in quite a bit of trouble, but Saich and stand in player Cohen have saved me.

End of Over 37: 226-4, runrate=6.11, reqrunrate=4.69 (286-10)
Ridge 9-0-39-0
Cohen* 78 (88 balls)
Saich 95 (83 balls)
Last Wicket: Bridges c. Breen b. Malcolm 24 (FOW: 70/4)

But if I lose one more wicket, I'm screwed.

Sean
15th July 2007, 05:16
39.3 6 Malcolm to Saich
Amazing. Hit well over the stand and out into the car park. Take your hats off for Saich
And that's a century for Saich! Well played indeed Sir!

:)

Sean
15th July 2007, 05:33
I've had a massive collapse and a good chance of losing.

40.6 W Francis to Alnwick
Nicely flighted ball pitches on middle and off stump, spins across Alnwick who tries to sweep but misses the ball and is bowled behind his legs.

40.5 W Francis to Saich
The gap between Saich's bat and pad could have let an oil tanker through. Saich's stumps are scattered and he trudges off despondently to the pavilion while Francis is engulfed by his team mates with Breen and Cole leading the high fives.

42.5 W Francis to Handbury
OUT! Thin edge and Breen takes a textbook catch.

Cohen is still in and only 15 runs are needed. Close match.

Sean
15th July 2007, 05:42
46.3 3 Francis to Cohen
Cohen comes forward and flicks the ball beautifully off his pads towards the mid wicket boundary for three.
And that's a century for Cohen! Well played indeed Sir!

Century for Cohen! 2 runs needed now! Gonna be a good win.

And Caskey runs 3 to finish off the match.

And that's the end of the match. Gillys Demolition Team won by 3 wickets.

Tactical error on my part. I wanted to see if Moazzam Khalil could do anything in the top order. He is my strong batsman. I played him at number 3. He is perfectly suited for number 4. But good thing Zahid came up at number 4. He had been out of form. This second string bowlers of miine r useless. They take wickets but gave away too much runs. I had you down at 167/6 but couldn't finish the job.

Nice start...

Darn. This 17 year old trainee respectable bowler isn't doing well...he is even on 'fresh' fitness. This isn't good...

If I can keep the RRR below 7 until 40 overs, I'm confident that I may win.

33.3 W Immelman to Fowler
Miscues the shot just slightly, but it's enough to pop up a catch for Immelman on his follow-through.
