I am playing Real Payne United CC tomorrow.
They are fourth on the ladder.
I'm already certain of a spot in the finals. I am 3rd with 2 games left.
They have a player called Stuart Blenkinsopp.
Stuart Blenkinsopp - 22 yo, BT Rating=13,961
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A steady player with abysmal leadership skills and woeful experience.
He looks like a gun. I'll need to get him early. It seems that my captain, James Thackeray, is playing his brother, Vic Thackeray.
James Thackeray - 23 yo, BT Rating=7,649
RH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, sublime
A steady player with respectable leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Vic Thackeray - 18 yo, BT Rating=7,348
RH Batsman, LF Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A cautious player with respectable leadership skills and abysmal experience.

Bad bad start. :(
I won the toss and elected to bat.
I come on and we just lose a wicket.
4.5 W Thackeray to Warrington
Out! Warrington tries for a pull shot only to see the ball catch the edge of the bat and go straight up. Dayton takes an easy catch and Warrington is on his way.
End of Over 6: 12-2, runrate=2.00
Oconnor 3-0-6-0
Mccormick* 6 (15 balls)
Clee 0 (6 balls)
Last Wicket: Warrington c. Dayton b. Thackeray 2 (FOW: 9/2)

F***!! (Sorry for language)
9.5 W Oconnor to Clee
That's what bowlers love to see! The bails flying, stumps everywhere and the batsmen's face when he looks down at his stumps, priceless!
End of Over 10: 31-3, runrate=3.10
Oconnor 5-0-13-1
Mccormick* 21 (28 balls)
Whitman 0 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Clee b. Oconnor 3 (FOW: 31/3)

14.2 6 Muralitharan to Mccormick
That full toss has gone soaring high, high, high in the air and I don't think that it's coming back! That's gone into orbit!
He is 39 from 41 balls.

I still have to wait for tomorrow. There could be other bids and I could lose.
and I only have 62,000 in my balance. How much do you have to have for your team to be taken away from you? I heard it was -300,000.

I dunno because I don't know how much players a worth. What do you think?
i would train him but i aint got enough nets to train him. if you have 3-4 nets then i think he would be a good buy. 1-2 batting nets, one fitness net and one fielding net. then in about 4-5 weeks his batting, conc and stamina would be competent. if he has an average of 100 at the moment then after 4-5 weeks training, who knows lol he might average a lot higher. im just saying how much would you b willing to offer if i sold him to u??? give me a price and il consider it.

buy players that can improve your team. this is my advice. buy one or two youngsters under 19. train them up for a season so they improve every week. along with that buy 5-6 players who are 20 odd who can perform for you week in week out straight away.

Fall of wickets.
2.1(1-6) W Thackeray to Thackeray (4)
Dayton resembles a coiled spring as he jumps up with ball in glove. A thin edge from Thackeray and Thackeray is delighted with his keeper.
4.5 (2-9) W Thackeray to Warrington (2)
Out! Warrington tries for a pull shot only to see the ball catch the edge of the bat and go straight up. Dayton takes an easy catch and Warrington is on his way.
9.5 (3-31)W Oconnor to Clee (3)
That's what bowlers love to see! The bails flying, stumps everywhere and the batsmen's face when he looks down at his stumps, priceless!
14.6 (4-60)W Muralitharan to Whitman (6)
Forward, the ball beats the bat, and middle and leg stump are out of the ground.
25.3(5-114) W Oconnor to Mccormick (64)
He's out! That was a disgraceful shot. It was a wide ball and he's had a little dabble and gifted Dayton a catch.
25.5(6-114) W Oconnor to Rowe-francis (0)
That's a bad ball by Oconnor, short and wide but Rowe-francis has edged the cut into his own stumps!
31.6 (7-147) W Walton to Longrigg (12)
Longrigg's bat has got stuck in the turf, and a direct hit from Blenkinsopp at point catches him well short of his ground.

hmm i see where you coming from. it will be tricky. what is the maximum you are willing to pay for each one?? what you could do to solve your problem is place your highest bid for each now and if anyone pays more than that then good luck to them. at least you know you tried your best to sign them by paying what you think is the highest you think they are worth.
at the moment its likely someone will bid for them in the last minute so you need to work out now how much your willing to spend on each one maximum and place it now.

hmm i see where you coming from. it will be tricky. what is the maximum you are willing to pay for each one?? what you could do to solve your problem is place your highest bid for each now and if anyone pays more than that then good luck to them. at least you know you tried your best to sign them by paying what you think is the highest you think they are worth.
at the moment its likely someone will bid for them in the last minute so you need to work out now how much your willing to spend on each one maximum and place it now.

another thing to point out is, dont just bid for every tom dick and harry , because you wont b able to up ur bids for the ones u really want to go for because the bank wont let u go over the -150 000 overdraft and takes into accounts bids you have made. ie you have made 100 000 bid for atkins, 50 000 for haresh and 30 000 for clark. that means the bank thinks you have made offers upto 180 000. you wont be able to up bids on players you want if you keep bidding for everyone. concentrate on signing one or two at a time and then when they sign go for other players.

Yep, I noticed that too :13:
its because they played much longer than us probably by a whole season and thus have much higher battrick ratings than us. they will have one batsman or bowler who will do all the damage. the guy on top of my table has a team full of stars because he has been playing for over a year. you cant compete with them in the short term, only in the long term. :( :(

I had a bad today. I've gonna try and sell 4 really crappy players. I tried selling one yesterday but didn't know how much to sell em for. I put the asking price to 80000. It was a big mistake.
Cos I have no bids.
Now I am hoping to get 2 players and do well in the finals.

40.5 W Shafi to Jones
Wicket ball. That's through the defences and Shafi has his man.
40.4 W Shafi to Mansell
That seemed to stop in the pitch and Mansell was through the shot too early. Shafi takes a simple return catch and throws the ball high into the air in celebration.
lmao

you gotta take advantage of the other bowler he isnt very good so you need to score big in his overs.
