would have prefered a more solid middle order batsman to be played instead of yasir hameed but expect us to be 3 down for 50 odd in 80% of our matches

1 - Salman Butt
2 - Yasir Hameed/Imran Nazir.... flip a coin, they both will do great in shajah and fail everywhere else.
3 - Shoaib Malik
4 - Mohd. Yousaf
5 - Fawad Alam (I am unware to what his natrual position is, but the FC stats are very impressive)
6 - Abdul Razzaq

if they are gonna bat alam then bat him in middle order
no point bringing him later in innings to smash sixes cos he's built like yasir hameed.
its like the windies did with simmons this world cup sending him in at 8 and asking him to hit sixes when he can barely hit a 4 with all his strength

Well, he's a left-arm off spinner, with good control of the ball. He has the ability to turn the ball with flight as well as off the pitch. He's had a very good start to his international career, even holding his own in his brief match up against Lara.
Here are his statistics, which really make you wonder why he was dropped in the first place:
Bowling averages Mat Balls Runs Wkts BBI BBM Ave Econ SR 4 5 10
ODIs 4 192 119 6 2/20 2/20 19.83 3.71 32.00 0 0 0

Salman, Imran, Yasir, Yousuf, Malik, Fawad, Afridi, Akmal, Asif, Sami, Najaf
You may argue that Gul should be in for the first game, but Najaf is a must try for the first game and Sami has been on fire, IMO. Gul is still better then Sami, no doubt, but just for complementery's sake.

My team would be:
Butt, Safraz/Zulqy, Malik, Yousuf, Raza, Alam, Afridi, Arafat, Gul, Shah, Asif
My team from this squad:
Butt, Nazir, Hameed, Malik, Yousuf, Alam, Akmal, Afridi, Gul, Shah, Asif
-I was looking for a spot include Razzaq, but then I have to make Kami open and I am not sure if I want that. I don't want to take out any of the top three, because Akmal is not a number 5 bat to me....either open as a pinchy or lower down.
-This squad gives oyu 6 bowling options and in ODIs you always need a minimum of 6 bowlers incase one of them gets carted around.

why do people compare rehman to razzaq?
his batting is virtualy non existent compared to razzaqs late order big hitting

this looks a well balanced side. seems though we have ended up with more allrounders anyway we 3 genuine seam bowlers. and lets see if alam and afridi spin attack can do some magic. it would be good if akmal never opens again and they stick with some form of batting order for the long haul.
good luck pakistan

4. Yusuf
5. Fawad
6. Abdul Razzaq
7. Afridi
8. Kami
9. Asif
10. Umer
11. Najaf Shah
Though I am sure that Fawad and Najaf wont get even a single game. Yasir ‘Fisher man’ Hameed will play instead of Fawad and Sami Marshall will take Najaf’s place.
I'd actually drop Akmal and play Yasir hameed as our keeper (Because ive seen him do it before)
1. Salman

Butt
Hameed / Nazir
Malik
Moyo
Fawad / Razaq
Afridi / Razaq
Akmal
Asif
Gul
Najaf / Sami
Rehman / Hafeez
My list above from the selected 15 basically shows:
- one out of Hameed and Nazir should play but not both.
- two out of Razaq, Afridi, and Fawad should play but not all 3.
- one out of Sami and Najaf should play and probably not both.
- and one of Rehaman and Hafeez should play but not both.
The selection above is based on the following factors: Expected pitches, Quality of opposition, Form of our players(based on recent performance) and future outlook (considering the teams and tours we will be taking on in the next year or so).

Butt
yoyo
malik
alam
Akmal

Rehman or rao or shah that i hvent seen, it depends on the pitch
