PP Battrick League: All Positions Filled!

Ever wanted to play in a tournament against fellow PPers?
Well here is your chance, just put your name down before the first May 20th, and you will be in the league.

Although, I am sad to announce, only the leagues after .IV (V etc.) may enter.

This is because the teams that are in the higher leagues will be a very strong team and a 99.9% chance of making the final.

Just enter your name before May 20th then I will make a fixture.
A maximum of 12 people can join. If there is more, the comp will probably be too long.

Everyone will play eachother once in the group stages. The top 2 from each group will go on to the Quarter Finals. They will (may not yet) play eachother once. The top 4 from that stage go on to the Semi Final. The winner of that goes on to the final. Hopefully this takes up the whole season. :)

We need 100% contribution to this or you will be disqualified from the tournament and will forfeit all matches that you have played and and are yet to play.

We have Shayan who wants to join as well. don't know his team name. That makes 12. We can still work with that, make 3 groups of 3, that means 3 weeks worth of group play. Then the 2nd place team in each group play each other, thats 3 more weeks. And then top placed team from each group plus the winner of the 2nd place teams play semis and then the final. total length will be 8 weeks. What do you say?

we have 12 players. 4 groups of 3. Winner form each group goes to semi. Total time for competition is 5 weeks. Unless you want to play both home and away games then it will be 8 weeks.

It really depends if you guys want to make the tournament short or long. Both formats work, though the first one with 5 weeks turns out really nicely.

We can decide the home/away status on a flip of a coin by a neutral PPer. No rishwats or matchfixing :D

I'm sorry SB, because just say that you don't make it past the first round, then s_haq won't be able to play. And if you do, you will be a completely different team. Could be weird because s_haq could be a worse team, or a way better team. It's also unfair because I'm sure he'd want to play the whole tournament, but wouldn't be able to you because your playing.

You will only be able to play if s_haq doesn't mind. If he doesn't mind, then you can play. If he does mind, you can't.

Edit: Also, it's unfair on the other teams. Had they come late, they might have been able to join in later on, giving them a much better chance at winning the title.

we have decided that the home team will be the team who has the biggest stadium capacity. the reason for this is that this means both teams will get more gate receipts as a result. if both teams play in a 20 000 capacity stadium, then both will recieve about 6000k each whereas if the play in a 6500 capacity, they both only recieve 1000k each.

the following are the ground capacities of each participating team:
