Battrick Stadium Expansions

Can someone please tell me how this works. I have never made a stadium expansion. I dunno how much to raise it by, because my stadium capacity is NEVER full, which why I also thought that I don't need a stadium expansion. I do have 694 club members. Can some please explain why, when, and how much they spent on their first expansion?

Also discuss your stadium itself.

yeh. the bigger the stadium, the more money you will make in friendlies. that is why big daddy makes 5000 for a friendly

Yeah it's a knock out. Because you'd be in groups if it wasn't.

Ahhh! Thats not fair! I guess they decide the opponents completely randomly, because some people got really easy people. My guy is in Div III and has a guy with a rating of 26K.

iZ oyu should do the stadium expansion after you win a couple of games in a row so your support increases, then you can cover up the costs for it fairly quickly too because people will pay for it through buying ticks

They're telling me that there is a 20K "included" cost. So I tried to add only cover seats, and they still ask for 27K or something including the "steady cost"

Eh, I decided to expand my stadium today after a full crowd. I spend 150K on it, but I think I didn't expand enough.

I have 700 members, and prolly will win most of my games next season.

I added 2600 uncovered seats, 1000 covered seats, and 350 member seats.

Aim for a stadium with a capacity around 15 to 20 times the number of members you have, and make sure you build it in the following proportions
45% standing room, 40% uncovered seats, 11% covered seats, 4% VIP

I have used the battrick calculator, and also want your advice.

This is what I have right now:

Capacity: 10450
Standing Room: 5000
Uncovered Seats: 4000
Covered Seats: 1000
Members Seats: 450

From my last OD match, I got this attendence:

Attendance: 10352
Standing: 5000
Uncovered Seats: 4000
Covered Seats: 1000
Members area: 352

So basically everything filled out except for member seats.

Now the calculator tells me to expand to this at 18x my number of members:

Capacity: 10450 + 4000
Standing Room: 5000 + 1500
Uncovered Seats: 4000 + 1800
Covered Seats: 1000 + 600
Members Seats: 450 + 100

Is that ok? Good to go? I thought somethings were off, but apprarently the calc tells me to go this way. This is costing me around 115k, so will put me 8k under, plus I am thinking of buying another player for around 75-100k. So yea, I'll be quite under, but have two home games in a row, so shouldn't end up paying too much interest.

And I read somewhere that if you are planning on winning all your games or have ecstatic - over the moon members confidence, then you should go for 17 or 18 times the number of your members.

I have expanded for the second time to a total capacity of 15000 while I am having 830 members, so I think I am good to go.

I know i over expanded but everytime u expand u spend 20000 in overhead costs. So it evens out. Plus I am gona recover the cost in 2 home games and every week I am adding 60 members so in 6 weeks i should be able to fill this stadium up also. Now 6 weeks is not that big a window now eh.

I finally got a home league game after expanding my ground. My new capacity is 18,000 and today the attendance was 17,550. I made $136,096 from the gate receipts. But looking at those figures it looks like it is time to expand again :). I have 1088 Members at the moment.

Not a good idea. A lot of ground maintenence. You only have to pay 20k per whereas now you are gaining 15% less from your gate reciepts because your paying such maintenence for no reason.

I am trying to decide if I should expand my stadium. I currently have 1698 members and my sponsor and member confidence is ecstatic and over the moon respectively. My stadium capacity is 18000 and I have been getting full attendance for a while. I had actually started getting full attendance in season 7 but it had started to drop off in season 8 when I got promoted to div III and started losing. Season 9 has been good as I have been winning a lot and have lost only 2 games. I am going to win my FC Div IV league and get promoted again to Div III. In OD, I will finish 3rd most likely and stay in my Div III league.

Furthermore, I have just built up my balance to 1.7 mil. and I am happy to receive the 80K interest. I would not want to lose that. I am not sure if I should expand or not, and how big I should expand. The ground maintenance will be up and the player ages are going to become much bigger at the end of this season. I want to get to a point where I make a profit by just playing a friendly and having both away games as I am doing now. I use Jargon's Stadium calculator (http://garyjones.co.uk/battrick/stadium/) and I am thinking of going to a capacity of 26K. What do you guys say?

You should definitely expand. You are losing out on a lot of revenue with a 18k stadium.

I can see you filling out a 26k stadium as well but that seems about right considering that you will be in a higher FC league next season and may not be able to win at will.

Staying in IV (FC) for next season and always keeping member morale at highs would see you manage peak attendances of as much as 30k next season. However 26k seems fair enough for now given your plans and the uncertainties of playing in an unknown and more difficult FC league next season.

SO I am trying to plan the timing for my expansion. I have now tried to stop being promoted to FC Div III so I will remain in FC Div IV and OD Div III (Where I will finish 3rd this season). I plan to expand my stadium to 28K expecting better performance next season (Winning FC and finishing 2nd or 3rd in OD). Is the size about right?

When should I go ahead and start the construction? The off season is starting and there wont be any matches. I do have BT20 matches to play but I should be out of it quickly. I want to have my stadium completed for the beginning of next season but at the same time I don't want to go many weeks without games and revenue coming in. I do have $2.2 mil. in the bank right now.

Yeah I know about this and have been using it for a while but is the members x 15 formula good enough? I mean if I expect to win most of my matches I can do better. Plus I don't plan to expand again until 3 or 4 seasons later so what would be a good long term size? I currently have 1757 members.

Hmmmmm interesting, as per my own experience, I am expending my stadium 2 times in one season, if I am winning and getting more members.

First if you expend your stadium beyond your members limit and you will end up spending more money on maintenance area and will lose more money than what you will lose expending your stadium twice in a season.

2nd you will get more money if you have got your stadium limit nearly your members limit. It will help you to fill up your stadium and get the higher money out of your gate receipts.

Choice is yours

I would wait and see what teams promote into your league aswel as the team that demotes into your league, once you have judged where you expect to finish then plan accordingly.
Other things to factor in are the amount of members you have, for example i have 1900 my ground is over 32k on ecstatic morale i am getting 30k attendance, if i lose a few games and have morale on animated then i only get 26k so if you expect to lose more then 4 games in the season then you might want to be slightly conservative with your expansion plans.

To stretch a match out for 3 days, what I do is bowl first and bowl them out. Bat until the end of 2nd day and bowl them out on 3rd day

Thats what I did guys but my team got bowled out on day 2 and they dont even take time to score, they score really fast and get the other team out really fast. Looks like they dont want any raise.
