Here are just a couple of rules that I have made. Thanks to Hasbeen for a bit of help. I might add a couple, but these are just off the top of my head.

4 points for a win. 2 points for a tie. 0 points for a loss.

The team with the highest ground capacity will host the match.

The points are carried forward from the group stages. That is if you make the Super Sixes.

Top 2 progress from each group. If you make it to the next round, you will not play the other qualifier from your group.

In the Super Sixes, each team will play each other once.

The top 4 from the Super Sixes will go on to the Semi Finals.

The winner of the Semi Finals will go on to the Final.

We need 100% commitment. If you do not accept a challenge, then you forfeit that match. If you do not accept two challenges in a row, you are disqualified from the tournament automatically. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Who is going to keep track of the runrates? Who will be officiating the tournament i.e. updating the points tables etc?

Yea run rates will be something to be taken care of because BT doesn't calculate it. I think.

Sean

How do you do run rates? I want to do it, but I don't know how to do it.
Yes, I'll be updating all the tables etc.

iZeeshan

I guess run rates isn't that important. Maybe we could have bonus points?

Sean

Get the total in less the forty overs. Bowl the team out in less than half the oppositions total?

No bonsu points. I hate bonus points. I am totally against the concept of bonus points.

Runrate is calculated by (Total runs Scored by you/Overs you faced)-(Runs your opponents scored in matches against you/Overs they faced)

When a team is all out before 50 overs, their overs faced becomes 50 automatically. e.g.

I play Sean. I score 300 in 50 overs and Sean scores 150 in 15 overs buts gets all out, the net runrate for me becomes:

(300/50)-(150/50) = +3.00

And similarly Sean's runrate becomes -3.00

For more than one matches, add the total number of runs scored so that it becomes:

{ [ (Runs from match 1) + (Runs from match 2) ] / [ (Overs faced from match 1) + (Overs faced from match 2) ] - { [ (opponents 1 runs) + (opponent 2 runs)] / [(opponent 1 overs) + (opponent 2 overs) ]

That's quite confusing. But I'm sure I'd be able to do it.

If you understand its easy sean

The first part is quite easy to understand. It's just the second part.

just a reminder my ground capacity is now 16,900...and will be toching 20 or 25 thousand by end of 10 june

Sean
2nd June 2007, 23:17
That will mean that you will more than likely get home games in the super sixes. The home games were decided at the point I was doing the fixtures.

Your in Div II. We're all poor people in Div 4, and Vegitto in Div 3 who just got promoted. Stick with the best :P

Please read the rule in bold.

So for this match.

Say for example I score 250 from 50 overs last week. And the opposition made 150.

This week for example I make 350 and the opposition made 300.

So I add my scores together (250+350) and the oppositions scores together (150+300). Do I then do this? 600 - 450 = 150. Wait. That seams wrong. Oh, I get it now. So I'd do this.

600 / 100 - 450 / 100? Then the NRR for the 2 matches would be 2.5?

I hope I did my maths right. Gotta go now. Cya

From my calculations it looks like the RR would be 1.5

check your calculations again. Don't worry we will double check once the matches have been played.

And yes, the top 2 from the Super Six get a home game in the semis.

Kamran

Sean

i havent won yet so cant say if it has worked in my favour or not, although i must say i think it makes me the slight fav to win but hb has a very strong team so we will see.

Sean, have you OFFICIALLY resigned from the job of running the PP tournament? I need to know, so I can settle everything in.

Btw, what are the formulas for the RRs. I am going to a cricket match tomorrow, and my team is playing a rival county in a 3 series game, so...
