So we're down to 5, but whose the 5th?
1) Tim Boon
2) Steve Rixon
3) Dave Whatmore
4) Jimmy Adams
5) ?
So whose the 5th? Am I missing someone? Is it a local? Or perhaps a mystery outsider? Oh the intrigue!

Thats right! I was missing someone! I think its safe to say, however, that the 2 West Indians are the most unlikely to be chosen. It'll most likely come down to Boon, Rixon, or Whatmore.
So what became of Aaqib Javed - very cold on that front!
If thats the 'list of 5' - then I hope its only between Whatmore & Boon. I would nt want Steve Rixon anywhere near the Pak set up.
Just comes across as a horrible person - not sure he would last 5 mins in the PAk camp before someone tried to beat him up.

Yeah I'm praying it will be Whatmore, or Boon. I think both can really do good for us.

It would be nice to hear from the candidates. Everything seems like such a short in the dark in this process. I guess that's how this sort of thing happens, at least in Pakistan.

my vote goes to Rixon - tough talking Aussies who may be able to become more ruthless
Rixon? Hell no. From what I've heard, he is a very rude, egotistical type of person. Not what we need at this time. I'd go with Boon.

I say we should have a show like 'The Apprentice' with all the 5 candidates with Dr Ashraf in place of Alan Sugar, setting up tasks each week like getting the Pakstani players to eat healthy instead curries and then firing one candidate at a time until one is left and hired!!!
I'll pay to watch that show!!!

Lawson isnt a bad bowling coach but becoming an international team coach would be a big step up. A couple of years back he was only the main selector for the University of New South Wales trials so he doesnt really have a real experience at anywhere near the right level.
