View Full Version : CountDown Timer
I'v added a countdown timer, we will be using this for future matches and events.
No reason to miss a game now.
HIT the refresh button to make it appear for the first time, then it will automatically tick down :)

Great Idea although I thiink that since it's based on UK time, it's not quite right for me!
It should still be the same no. of hours to go where ever you are, I think...
Naveed
29th January 2005, 21:54
Well right now it says 11 hours 36 minutes instead of 6 hours. And I am 5 hours behind UK.

the time is not right it's only 5 and half hours left for the match.and it's showing 10hours
This will bring down the frequency of AJ's posts but nevertheless it's a great feature

OK, I have rejigged the countdown script.
I think it should be work for everyone know.
I have tried it by modifying the timezone on my PC and it does calculate the time interval based on the timezone setting.
Let us know if it isn't.
Match Start at 03:15 GMT

until the problem has been sorted out...y don't u just put the time of the match in GMT...
and ask everyone to see their position according to GMT using the computer clock thing..
that way everyone will know the timings..no need for timings threads..and we will have a maksehift thing until u can sort out the timer problem
how does that sound?
Will do that, just have a look at this first and see if any of the times match up...with what they should be.

I thought the game starts at 3:15am or 3:30 am - not 3am. It might not sound like much but 15 or 30 mins extra sleep is a LOT !!!! :o))
Timer should be working and has been set for 3:15.
Naeem you should be able to get your 15mins extra sleep ;-)
Saj
3rd February 2005, 18:25
you da man Waheed :-D
Thanks Saj, Hopefully it is still working for everyone around the world.
I've add the Pic from the MCG Web Cam. It should update every minute inbetween people reading the posts.
Will give us some idea if there is rain the area as well with the covers coming on and off, hopefully off for most the match.
