Player List Sorted by Category A, B, C, D

Created a new list of players to help you select your teams, this time grouped by categories: a, b, c, d.

So there should be no excuses for having 4 players from category A etc...

a : World Star ---- max 2 players

b : International Star ---- max 3 players

c : Domestic Star ---- max 4 players

d : Squad Player --- no max

e : Future Star? --- no max

quick question, why is malik a Batsman AND not an AR?
I havnt picked him so i aint fussed BUT i was just curious

I think at the time that WIY made a decision on the categories, just after the VB series, Malik was not bowling and did not look like he would be able to bowl for a long time.

Just a note on categories, they will remain the same for the whole year, so if an allrounder is called for throwing and gets a ban, he will remain as an allrounder.

1Qs why Sehwag is class as B and Fleming as A. also why Katich is given D. though by giving Sehwag b and Katich d, you guys have solved a lot of my prbs. ;)

Before the Pakistan Tour V.Sehwag was struggling to score 200 in 20 innings, then he did in 1.

Katich could not get into Australian ODI side, injury and loss of form for lehman opened a position and he took full toll...

Personally would not rate Fleming at A, but that was WIY choice. It's the same for everyone either way...

yar Waheed bhai there are other examples also. Like Salman Butt given 'b'. do u mean he is compartive to Sehwag. I know he will INSHALLAH. but not now. Salman is pretty new. and Sehwag has already proved that he is the champ against any bowling attack on any pitch. Salman shd be given 'c' like K. Pieterson who is given 'c'. If Salman is b then Sehwag defo shd be 'a' and Kevin shd be 'b' also. BUT as i said by making Sehwag 'b' and also Katich 'd' you have solved many prbz for me ;)

no no i wasnt saying to change it. its fine. was just discussing and a bit curious about some player ratings.

OK no problems.
Maybe next year when we come to review the category of players, we can get more people involved in the decision process.

no bhai - noman, it was taken in terms of when the rankings were set - which was before sehwag exploded and fleming bombed. I also took into account effect on their own side and barring the aussies didnt want to hand out too many A rated players - i mean then it would have been nearly impossible to select a good side had likes of sehwag, sarwan etc been A rated. Fleming was instrumental for kiwis before and had shown signs of class. When comparing players - potential was taken into account as i didnt really want to have to make changes during year - likes of butt etc were given a pretty high ranking as he plays regularly and has shown serious talent and has performed

but WIY bhai Pieterson also showed serious talent and performed. why u have Butt 'b' and Pieterson 'c' also if u were considering potential why u didnt consider Sehwag's potential. also Katich is damn good player to be given 'd' . atleast 'c' for him also 'c' for Solanki (he isnt that bad considering u have given Yasir and Taufiq 'c' each .anyway no big deal have made our lives easy ;)

nedian - did u not want any bargains to select - lets say some are bargains and some are not - otherwise would have been impossible to select a competitive side had sehwag been an A, pietersen a B - btw pietersen hadnt played a test so unsure about that
