A whopping 90 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nanu Ram Jogi, a 90 year old, became a father for the 21st time on Wednesday. Jogi, a farmer, belongs to Rajasthan's Panch Imli village and has four wives. He first married at the age of 20 and his family now has 125 members.
His fourth wife Sadu Devi is 50 years old and married him only after her husband, Jogi's son, died. The 90-year-old ascribes his robust health to his strict diet and a daily drink of fresh camel milk. ''I love the little boy. I had a good diet. I used to eat meat, fish, eggs and clarified butter,'' he said. Jogi says he has always steered clear of sterilisation. 'It would have made me weak', he says.
Rare incident?
Jogi's son Bhim, who is 60, says they would be happy to have their father has another child. ''My father has four wives and my youngest brother was recently born. We feed him well and take care of him. My father is a good man and he is still very young and we all are very happy,'' Bhim said.
Health workers can barely believe that Jogi still has it in him to become a father. ''It is a very rare that someone has a child at 90 years of age. If true, then it is a matter of investigation. We should conduct a medical test to determine the paternity,'' said Medical Officer Maninder Deep.
Jogi's case may be rare but it is not an isolated one. Another elderly Rajasthan farmer - a resident of Barmer - fathered a child last year at the age of 88.
