Tony Blairs constituency had many independent parties fighting his seat including variations of 'Blair must go' candidates!! 15 independentr seastintotal fighting his seat.

He has a sizeable majority!

many of the major northern constituencies which were thought marginal bcos of the muslim population had BNP candidates...thus Labour are holding those seats comfortably.

Cardiff Central. Lib Dems (who lost by 627 votes in 2001) overturned that deficit and won by more than 5000 votes.

Respect got about 300+ votes...not bad.

well done geroge galloway!!! also am glad that lib dems broke the 60 seats barrier!!! that is great and they have moved to second in a lot of constituencies!

did all of u who would of normallyvoted Labour , did a protest vote?

I would normally voted Labour but voted for Lib Dems..after I found out that since last election ..the constituency I live in was a very strong labour ground and it needed a 50% swing for this to change hands. Labour still hold power here.
