Whats the best wrestling storyline u've ever seen?

When i was a lot younger i used to watch wrestling and I thik the greatest storyline in wrestling history (that i saw) was the initial invasion of WCW by the nWo.

WCW were struggling in the ratings and they started paying really big money to get the best WWF stars to join them. Two of the biggest WWF stars (Nash and Hall) suddenly turned up at a WCW studio and started causing trouble and pretending they were sent there by the WWF :)))

All the WCW stars acted really scared and eventually they setup a match between WCW's 3 top stars and the Outsiders (supposedly WWF) Hall and Nash. The Outsiders were going to have a third mystery partner and no-one could have ever guessed who it would be! The outsiders were beating up on the WCW all-stars pretty badly when good guy Hulk Hogan came running out to rescue the all-stars but when he got there, it turned out he was with the Outsiders and they formed the nWo (new World Order). >:)

nWo used to spray paint the letters nWo on the people they had beaten up, they used to intefere in matches, they used to wreck the ring and beat up the announcers and just generally do whatever they liked!

After that story fizzled out i kind of stopped watching wrestling because it started to get really boring. So whats the greatest storyline you guys have ever seen?

The NWO story-line was a good one. The formation of the two factions NWO black & white and the wolf-pack shortly after made the story line more intresting.

As fas as stroy-lines go thou... nothing can or will ever beat the vince mcmahon v stone cold steve austin story line. vince mcmahon the guy who wanted things always done his way against the bear swilling, ass-stomping, double finger sticking texas red-neck...!

Merc i loved the NWO stroylines, it totally revived WCW who were well behind WWF and now they are behond once again!

I remember way back when Hulk Hogan and Undertaker used to have some real class fights

Well The nWo invasion and the Austin/Vince storyline are classics and will be the first 2 things mentioned.

Other enjoyable storylines were the DX vs Nation of Domination skits, especially when DX dressed up like the Nation. I was literally p*ssing myself, it was that funny

On the opposite end, the worst storyline by a LONG way would have been that 80 year old, Mae Young giving birth to a hand. Some idiot was paid to come up with rubbish like that. :L?

Not so much storyline - but best wrestler - BRET HART - when i used to watch it in mid to late 90's - he ruled - and was a nice guy outside doing charity work - I feel so soory for the guy - his brother died in the ring, his dad passed away not long after, bret himslef suffered a stroke and before that suffered injury whilst wrestling meaning he couldnt wrestle again. Also his brother in law british bulldog( davey smith) died as well.

Shawn Michaels maintains he had no idea that was going to happen. Not sure how truthful he is. HHH had nothing to do with it though, and Im not even a fan of his.

Both Shawn and Bret are legends though. I remember staying up till 2 in Lahore watching their WM12 Iron Man match, and wasnt disappointed at all

daoud - in the storyville documentary - it shows THAT MICHEALS KNEW! bret hart himself maintains it - HHH was just a brat who was going places due to contacts - was great that bret hart smacked vince in face after that match. Shawn knew - no one warned bret of what would happen except vader who apparently told bret to watch out

i started to wacth wrestling when the nwo saga started but merc you gorget to mention THE STINGER yes sting was awsome and kicked nwo almost everytime. it became boringand sad to see sting with the red paint and when he came back in black it wasnt the same anymore !

return of The Rock v Brock Lesnar was brilliant.

I will never forget the hell in a cell between Lesnar and the Undertaker...

WWE did everything to keep lesnar happy...destroy hogan, the rock, taker, kurt angle...everyone...

but I guess he just wasnt cut out for it...good to see him thriving in MMA though

NOW and the Invasion was classic...also when the Hart foundation rejoined and started the Canada vs. USA rivalry...I remember Bret during a show in Pittsburgh called it the "armpit of america"

also way back in the 90s they had a guy named Farooq who started "The Nation" which was supposed to be kinda like the nation of Islam versus Ahmed Johnson...Undertaker vs Kane was also a good one...

The 90s was amazing,everything you'd ever want in entertainment.Loved Taker vs Hogan at Survivor Series 1991 and how all the Hogan fans were stunned,Paul Bearer was :))) Loved Paul ! Kane vs Austin,the whole cahoots with Taker storyline.

Paul Bearer turning his back on Taker and uniting with Mankind,Kane Vs Mankind,Taker vs Mankind Hell in a Cell,so many brilliant moments and the writers must be praised for that.Nowadays,who writes this stuff ?

This new generation of wrestling is badly overshadowed and havent been able to live up to the high standards of the past.
