BradmanesqueThere are certain players, however bad a form they are currently in, at any stage they would always love to play against a certain team. They invariably turn out to be a nemesis for the particular opponent team. Lets take the recent example of Younis Khan. He was struggling and found wanting as an ODI batsman. But come the series against India he always manages to have a more than Bradmanesque average.
These players otherwise have an average records against the other cricketing nations but its only against certain team, that, they find themselves at home.
On this note, I am trying to figure out the current playing cricketing nations and the players who have demonstrated to be their nemesis.
Please help me in completing this list. The list includes batsmen only and current players.
1) Australia - VVS Laxman, Peterson, Collingwood
2) South Africa -
3) England - Mohammad Yousuf
4) India - Younus Khan, S Chanderpaul, M Hayden, R Arnold, Gayle
5) Pakistan - Sehwag, Kallis
6) West Indies -
7) New Zealand
8) Sri Lanka
Your inputs are welcome. Fortunately there are not too many against Australia. Tendulkar used to be a threat for us in the distant past but now he is our bunny.

add ponting as a nemesis to every team...but the worst is the way pieterson handles australia...they have no clue how to get him out! and then the way asif handles pieterson.but sehwag being a nemesis to pakistan?i dont think so the 300 and a couple of other knocks were really good but he isnt as consistent against pakistan as younis is against india(in tests that is)

Bradmanesque

Lets see you say that after the Indian tour of Ozland.. we r in for a tough challenge... but something tells me that tendu is going to leave a mark on his last tour to Ozland..

Kallis has only done well against us in the last 2 series. He had a pretty poor average against us before that. I wouldn't call him our nemesis. Ricky Ponting could be added to the list though.

Ricky Ponting is different, he thrashes ever opposition in the world so he doesn't qualify for this :P
I agree about Kaillis though, he hadn't played consistently well against us before this series.

We've had Kallis, Chanderpaul and the whole Aussie XI in recent years.
I wouldn't say Australia don't know how to handle Pietersen - he only averages 50-odd, which is good but hardly disdainful. I'd argue they have the wrong ideas about how to get under his skin though. Likewise Collingwood.
