Saurav Ganguly in the field adds real comedy value to international cricket as far as I am concerned.
From his attempts at catching the ball, his attempts at stopping the ball and his attempts at diving, and his sprinting which is more like treading water :D
This thread is dedicated to Ganguly's fielding habits/mistakes during this tour.
Of course he dropped Yousuf in the first ODI and today already a couple of lame attempts at stopping the ball.

He's been sat in the pavilion with his feet up for the last few overs - taking a well earned rest :)

i think we should appreciate his effort. Unlike our senior players like Inzy & Yousaf not working on their fielding.

He jumps high at cover and stops a certain boundary. Though it will go down as a drop chance but was an excellent effert by Sourav Ganguly :14: ........

Late in the day and a weary Ganguly is fielding at mid on. Straight drive from Misbah off the bowling of Patel. Ganguly thought I havent got the energy to chase that and does a futile and slow motion dive and the ball goes for 4 :)

Some people have short memories, otherwise they could look back at the dying years of Imran Khan (one of the greatest Pakistani cricketer) and could see how good was Imran in fielding at mid on or mid off? Look even at McGrath in the final years of his career, look at Jaysuria. Gangully is no different than all those greats. He is still a good aggressive player, and filled in well for India as third seamer, rather proving himself as a GOLDEN ARM of India just like Muddassar was of Pakistan.
Saj, think of something better if you want to start a thread. You may start it on Kaneria fielding, Yousaf fielding, even Butt (who could be qualified as Gangully son) fielding is worst than Gangully and the best if Akmal keeping.

I'll start a thread on what I like mate, I dont need someone who has to resort to disgusting remarks about Hinduism to tell me what to post on here and what not to post. Hope that is clear.
