View Full Version : Lara & ChanderPaul Leading from the Front.
It was good to see the Senior players of WI taking there place at the top of the order, when WI needed them the most in this crucial match against the WI.
This set the example for the youngsters to follow, instead of the Pakistan way of sending the youngsters upfront and allowing the senior players Inzy and Yohanna the easy option of batting in the middle overs.
When will Inzy and Yohanna realize that they need to bat at least 4 & 5, to allow the younger batsmen to bat around them, rather than letting them take the brunt of the new ball attack and try to pick up the pieces after the inevitable collapse.
Inzy & Yohanna need to watch and learn...
Thoughts Please...
Inzi and Yoyo need to show some guts. I really cant see how Inzi can expect to be considered a great under these circs.

Youhana is really being a baby and he is totally out of form. He has lost it considerably and hasn't played any big knocks in about 10 ODIs.
Inzi is in terrific form and so far has the most runs in the seires (i think or maybe it is lara or clarke).
These two need to be more like chander and lara leading. they are both better than the other (inzi better than lara and yoyo better than chander) but they're aren't shownng it.

Chanderpaul is a thorn in their Test side. Awckward batting stance though. Need Kaneria to play.

Sad to see Windies in its current state. During those days they were still better and have been deteriorating for a while.
Interesting to not that a poster was also complaining about Moyo back then and how he failed in 10 ODI innings. We all know how well he played after year after year until 2009. Really depressed that ge was dropped recently and couldn't play his last WC due to 10 bad innings in 2010. I know he would have come back strong and helped us in that semi final :(

Despite Lara not being there now, Chanderpaul and Sarwan are their backbone that needs to be broken quickly to win the series.

Gayle is probably the key WI batsman. However WI bigger issue is bowling. Good time to give confidence to Pakistan batsman.
