Philippe Senderos has revealed he has no regrets about spurning the advances of Manchester United in order to sign for Arsenal.
The promising 20-year-old Swiss stopper has proven an accomplished performer since deputising for Sol Campbell at the heart of Arsenal's backline.
Campbell has since proven his fitness in Arsenal's final two Premiership games but Senderos could yet keep his place such has been his form towards the season's close.
Regarded as one of Europe's brightest prospects before completing a move to Highbury, Senderos was not short of suitors - including Sir Alex Ferguson.
The player elected to choose North London over Manchester and having been given an early opportunity to impress at first team level, has no regrets over his decision.
''I visited a few places in Europe,'' said Senderos.
''I met everyone at United, not just Sir Alex Ferguson. They were good to me, but it has nothing to do with that this week.
''I play for Arsenal. It is Arsenal against Man United and nothing else.
''I chose Arsenal because I came here, met the people and really felt comfortable with everyone.
''It is a club I have always looked up to and dreamed to play for
