Well the season is close to the end and I have a fairly good idea how I will be at the end. I decided to see if I will meet my Season 9 targets or not. Lets take a look at how I did.

My Season 9 targets are as follows:

1. Finish 1st in FC league and get promoted again to Div III.

Decided not to do this. I decided to stay one more season in Div IV so I can build up my team and enjoy the benefits of high morales. I should very easily win every single match next season just I could have this season and will give my Second XI guys their playing time. This should prepare me for Div III in season 11. Meanwhile my expanded stadium should get me more money.

2. Finish in the top 4 of the OD league

Right now I am 3rd and looks like I will remain there till the end of season.

3. Get to the semis of the PP League

Couldn't do this, I lost in the quarters. But I am happy with it, the tournament was tougher this season.

4. Have 6 players with a BT rating of over 10K (Currently have 3)

Not only did I meet this target, I exceeded it. I am very proud of it. I now have 7 players over 10K. I was also able to get my first player over 20K and have 2 of them now and Imranullah Javeduddin has even exceeded 30K!

1. Imranullah Javeduddin - 19 yo, BT Rating=30,720
2. Moazzam Khalil - 20 yo, BT Rating=21,557
3. Joey Allen - 19 yo, BT Rating=15,533
4. Badriprasad Ahmed - 18 yo, BT Rating=15,509
5. Naeem Mangal - 18 yo, BT Rating=11,773
6. Rama Sagren - 17 yo, BT Rating=10,273
7. Jawwad Qadir - 18 yo, BT Rating=10,184

5. Make a high profile purchase

Didn't do this. I was planning to fill up the coffers instead and now enjoy the $80K interest every week. Next Season. I need to buy a star bowler.

6. Have $1 million in the bank

I now have $2.2 million and expect it to rise more by the end of the season. I will spend around $280K on stadium expansion. Wages will be higher next year.

7. Make one decent youth pull or trainee purchase and give a high amount of nets.

I pulled Rama Sagren this year and although it was late, he has built up his skills. I have him on 4 nets.

Rama Sagren - 17 yo, BT Rating=10,273
LH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler, abysmal batting form, strong bowling form, invigorated fitness.
A destructive player with competent leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: feeble
Batting: proficient Concentration: respectable
Bowling: worthless Consistency: abysmal
Fielding: woeful

He should get a few more pops before the end of season.

8. Get a decent keeper/batsman.

I don't know about this one, it have shifted down the priority. I plan to make Rama Sagren the keeper as I am giving him keeping nets at the moment anyway. By the time he is respectable I would not need my other keeper. I need more bowlers at the moment.

Overall, I am happy with my team. Things are moving forward and squads are improving. What do you guys make of this?

Seems like you have everything in order!

Your planning has come off well and it can be seen as you met/exceeded most of your targets.

I think you have got all your priorities right aswell, and I do think you need to dabble in the TM and get yourself a real star bowler. 2.2 will get you atleast a strong primary and decent (respectable) secondaries.

Focus on training 2-3 YPss

Trained 2 YPs and 1 teenager from last year! all 3 will remain on the same nets next year and I look forward to reap the rewards.

Have 3-4 mill in the bank

Failed this one miserably! But I can say that the spending has been worth it as I have improved my team. (this is evident as I have exceed my expectations in all leagues I took part in)

Finish 5th in OD league

Second at the moment which is a very pleasant suprise! Would have to lose both of my remaining games to give up this spot but hopefully I can slug i out for 2 more matches.

Top 4 in FC.

Well, unfortunately, I am 1st in the FC league. I tried going down the MCM route and tried throwing some matches but it was too little to late. Hopefully I can get an easy div III league!

Quarters in PP league

I think I made this prediction before looking at the teams that had entered. I would have deffantly lowered my expectations after looking at all the participating teams as this years leagues was full of real quality.
So suprisingly, I find myself in the semi finals which I see as a very good achievement.

Overall, the season has been on track! The only downfall has been the finances but hopefuly I can sort that out next season by selling a fwe decent YPs

I am very happy with this season. I had 4 mil in the bank, made a good purchase, and still have 1.3 million. Brought a lot of money in. Have 7 10k players, which includes 1 30k, 3 20k, and the rest in 10-11k. I got my first remarkable bowler, and have a quality/superb allrounder. I am first in my FC league, but have drawn 4-5 games so I don't get promoted, and am first in OD but will lose my promotion game.

All I need now is a win in the PP cup and it will be a perfect season.

Lets see how I done :

1. Improve the whole team, not concentrate on 1 or 2 players.
Not sure how I done in this, judging by bt ratings and skills, it seems I done ok, however plan to do better next season.

2. Have at least 2 mill in the bank.

3. Get no.6 or higher in OD league.
Failed badly, but its good Im going back to div IV, it will make things a lot easier for me.

4. Top 3 in FC.
Looks like Im coming fourth but underestimated the other teams so Im still happy with that.

5. Semis in PP league :D
A far-fetched target by considering the standards this season, very pleased with that.

6. Most importantly - HAVE FUN !
Only half of that done .... the finances kinda messed it up :|
