We are half way through the season. How has everyone been getting along? Matching expectations at the start of the season? Here is my summary:

Pre-Season Expectations

No targets set. I promoted to III.5 and it is one of the tougher OD leagues in the series so it was going to be fascinating sizing up the new teams and figuring out how to get the better of them. I pulled a good YP and decided to train him as a U19 prospect while continuing my long term training regime.

Highlights

Winning 7 matches out of 7 and taking down Ghoru's Belgian Lions who are a better side on paper. Also topped a tricky BT20 league to qualify for the next stage. Reached R6 of the cup.

Lowlights

Not much to report. My star all rounder who played for the U19's last season has suffered worthless batting form for much of the season but is recovering now. Funnily enough he has done very well with the bat despite this but his bowling (Superb form all season) has not been particularly good!

Expectations for second half

I do not want to promote to II at this time so will settle for 1st or 2nd and staying in my present league.

Good thread!

Pre-Season Expectations
After finishing last season in 6th position (just avoiding relegation) in III.14, I wanted to make a minimal improvement and finish in 4th or 5th position this time around. I also wanted to become more intune with the tactical side of Battrick (e.g difference weather effects etc)

Current Performance:
Currently I'm sitting in 2nd in the OD league with 6 wins from the 7 played. This is a great achievement in my eyes considering the strength of the opposition in my league. And I am also very pleased with the great pfl status of my team at the moment because it ensures that we will do well in the 2nd half of the season.

Highlights

The whole team performance! very pleased!

Lowlights

Nothing major, only downside is maybe the shift in captaincy. Delgado had it for a match at the start of the season... then Islam and even though he had a great run as captain, we found better material in Cantrell.

Expectations for second half
Nothing, I would be happy with the season if we lost our remaining 7 games because we have already won more games than last season which shows improvement.
