jameel - that guy khameni is an exceptional keeper - with amazing reflexes - u watch the catlan derby - ended 0-0 simply down to this guy's brilliance

he has faced 7 penalties this season and saved 5 of them!

against crosses he is still erratic but with the reflexes he has he will go a long way!

Yeah I've seen him and he is one hell of a keeper. And he's only 19 I think.

He has a buy out clause of 4 mill I think, which is a good price.

Manchester United will now step up their chase for Parma keeper Sebastien Frey after releasing Roy Carroll and Ricardo.

It was widely believed that Northern Ireland stopper Carroll was about to sign a new deal but instead he will be leaving Old Trafford.

He had previously asked Sir Alex Ferguson to guarantee him first-team football for next season - but a series of high-profile blunders in United's poor 2004/05 campaign hindered his chances.

Spanish keeper Ricardo has also been shown the door along with six young professionals.

And that means American Tim Howard is the only senior goalkeeper at United after agreeing a new deal last week.

Ferguson now has some money to play with following Malcolm Glazer's takeover, and will make the acquisition of Frey his number one priority for the summer

---------------------------------

Frey is good too, and if we get him i'll be happy. But i think we should go for Kameni, because he's younger and we might get him cheaper.

i think he is nearer to 23 - not really sure of his age - an afridi scenario.

frey too is an exceptional keeper - one fault with him - he uses his feet a lot - i mean when diving - seems a little dodgy in that respect but he has perfected that technique and it works for him.

i heard u have £20m to spend.

jameel frey would be cheaper - parma in huge trouble - near relegation, in debt - probs get him for £3m

Looks like we're spoilt for choice. I don't mind if we get any of them, they're both top keepers.

jameel am afraid it isnt that simple - both keepers are interesting a lot of clubs - u even have an outside shot at getting iker casillas as real badly want buffon and casillas is stalling on a new deal

Ferguson should hang his head in shame. Carroll never let us down but he never showed faith in him and it eventually took its toll on the man from Lisbellaw. Taibi too was a cracking keeper yet makes 1 mistake and sold. To think we had Tubethez rolling the ball to Henry and gifting Arsenal a league title.

If Carroll wasnt Irish you would be dissing him so quit defending him cos he is an average keeper!

thing is carroll was a decent keeper but hes not erm a safe keeper who you no wont make mistakes maybe one here and there but not too many mistakes. i think it was against totenham were the ball was kicked from the half way line and the ***** couldnt even catch the ball although the ball went over the line it wasnt given. like when the match went through for penaltys against arsenal the guy didnt have a clue in net. alright he aint that bad keeper but at this level you need world class keepers not, not bad keepers

then all of us are selective - we picked on the bit that was pure nonesense - as GA says if he wasnt from northern ireland u would be criticing him!
