mo irshad is faster then akter, but i have seen many faster bowlers bowling at 95mph on the streets in pak.

nadeem

Yep absolutely, plenty of 95 mph bowlers in PAK. But we'll never hear about them due to our corrupt system that runs on nepotism and favouritism.

30th January 2005, 13:57
exactly, I keep saying u need fundamental changes in Pakistan but no one ever listens!

mohammad irshad ? who is he and where is he gone then

Irshad's pace was a myth. he is probably playing in domestic cricket now as a line and length bowler.

Irshad was just another over-hyped domestic bowler, he was considered a tearaway during the 05-06 period but he's fallen away. Akhtar is probably still the quickest in Pakistan.

Mohammed Sami i think he can bowl 95+ easoly

Leonidos
27th July 2010, 15:07
I do not think Irshad was ever faster than Akhtar. In recent t20s against Aus Akhatr bowlled at 95 mph, even quicker than Tait.Aemer is only 18 and his body still growing. He needs to put 5 to 8 kg.Though he can bowl at 93 + at the moment but with improved muscles he may easily go over 95mph

It would be interesting to see who is the quickest in Pakistan right now after Akhtar and Sami.

I am thinking Sohail Khan but he looked slightly above average when he played for Pakistan.

I think Akhtar is still the fastest in Pakistan

Irshad had a lot of pace in 2003-2005. He tore apart a SA academy team on a flat pitch and everyone would talk about his pace. He had an Akhtar type action, run up and he used to have the same aggressive attitude.

He should have been drafted into the side immediately so that he could have been taken care of and bought to proper national attention. Unfortunately some idiots in the PCB back then came up with the crap "he needs to play for another 2-3 seasons in domestic cricket". We all know what are domestic cricket is worth and what is does to players.

And ofcourse lets not forget Mr Action Changer Aqib Javed's role in affecting his bowling. Irshad at best is now a 130-135 km/hr bowler who is completely ineffective with the old ball.

Aizaz Cheema was definately up there in the domestic T20 this year.

He was easily quicker than Wahab Riaz who was also in the same team but what struck me the most about his bowling was his intelligence.

He mixed rapid deliveries with beautiful slower balls and he also had a terrific yorker.

I was very surprised he was not selected for the T20 world cup in West Indies particularly as he won the award for the best T20 bowler in Pakistan.

Still Shoaib
Was hitting 94 consistently in the t20s against the Aussies

No he looked quite rapid and actually looked quicker than wahab who bowls at around 135-145 kph
and he also mixed slower deliveries wid good pace .... Since his slower deliveries were quite effective so i think he must have beenbowling pretty quick and he was also swinging the ball

Poison, he was spending his summer in Pakistan. :D

And Shoaib's speed >>>>> everybody in the country. Won't buy into the 'I've seen 95+ mph bowlers on the streets of Karachi' BS.

NAjaf shah was a good bowler bowled well on his debut was unlucky not to get any more chances was bowling 85mph+ on his debut and was troubled srilankans wid the new ball on a flat deck...
But he is certainly not the quickest in Pakistan

I think after shoaib quickest is AIZAZ cheema

what happenend to Talha ?

I believe he was discovered as result of some pace competition and was billed as a 90 mph+ bowler.
But recently i think he has also changed his action ???

Has anyone seen him bowling recently ( in 2010 ) Is he still quick ?

MAJID-SHAH

Yes he's still quick, possibly the quickest after Shoaib but sprays it everywhere.

He seems to have some similarities to Saj Mahmood.
