henry is leading at the moment.
Etoo finished on 24 - 1 short of henry!
forlan is on 23 - needs 2 goals to tie henry for golden boot and take spain's pachiche standings
It would be funny that forlan leaves man utd and get europe's golden boot!!! :))) :)))

forgot to mention forlan is playing levante who are battling relegation and he will score - if he gets a hat trick he wins it outright

etoo missed a whole month as well but henry does deserve the accolade - henry didnt really have a ronnyd behind him - bergkamp wasnt the same this year

FORLAN LEAVES MAN UTD AND RECAPTURE HIS CLASS
25 goals!

Forlan has been brilliant this season!
I admit i thought forlan was an average player BUTi still feel he wasnt given a fair chance at man-u - there was a period he was given 7 or 8 games and he scored about 5 goals BUT he was dropped the minute Ruud got back
Im sure Fergie is regretting his decision NOT to have given him a longer run in the team! The Villareal-Barca game where they won 3-1 was a match where Forlan was class

if anything it just shows how average the spanish league is, forlan did fuk all in premiership and goes to spain and scores for fun, owen only has to play 20 mins and scores most of the time
Waqar's inswinging yorker
30th May 2005, 00:58
what about prem
henry did nothing in serie A - comes over to prem and scores for fun.
Jonaton johansson a couple seasons ago was banging in goals for fun in premiership
average spanish league - that is a good one. It is the best league in the world - premiership only comes third.
barcelona
real m
valencia
villareal
sevilla
real betis
6 top sides that will be strong next season
6 top sides in prem
chelsea
arsenal
man utd
lpool
everton
newcastle.
outside of those sides i have listed in prem - no one else could really do well in say the uefa cup but in spain they also have likes of espanyol, real sociedad, depor who are better than likes of everton
Waqar's inswinging yorker
30th May 2005, 00:59
owen plays for 20 mins and scores - so would most ppl when he has likes of ronaldo, raul(looking better now), zidane, roberto carlos teeing him up
w4s1m786
30th May 2005, 01:06
funny how you mention newcastle, did you check the premiership tables they are sh1t just coz u bum chums with GA dont mean you have to say they are the 6th best when they are clearly are not.
is this the same henry who scored a hatrick against inter milan and scored goals against roma?????
john aloisi the ex coventry striker was soo crap he couldnt even get in their first team even still when they in 1st div, a few months back he scored the winning goal against bilbao
Waqar's inswinging yorker
30th May 2005, 01:21
wow inter and roma - did he score goals at juve?
wow john aloisi - who does he play for in la liga? he plays for one of the poorer sides who have to buy cheap.
Ivan campo - huge success as a defensive midfielder in ENG! - laughed out at real madrid.
bergkamp - struggled at inter - did well here - i know he is a class player but he struggled at inter and in serie A.
anti niemi - couldnt cut it in the SPL! but was a huge success in prem
players improve and decline - it is just way things go - u can find examples for every league like this
la lig is the best - it combines best parts of prem and Serie A

about GA remark - grow up wasim - have a proper debate - not a childish name calling tirade
w4s1m786
30th May 2005, 01:25
i think henry was used mainly as a left winger for juve and was sighned as a left winger for arsenal till wenger put him in attack and the rest is history,
almunia was touted as a big prospect in spain, well shows how good he is hes crAp
Waqar's inswinging yorker
30th May 2005, 01:28
AS A BIG PROSPECT? LOL - that is why celta vigo loaned him out - if he was such a big prospect why did they not keep him at club rather than send him out on loan COZ THEY GOT RELEGATED
henry was used as an attacking midfielder - drift in from left wing- similar to what he does at arsenal - wenger has given him more central responsibilities.
Waqar's inswinging yorker
30th May 2005, 01:29
marc overmars - did really well at arsenal - struggled in spain as did manu petit to a certain extent.

hierro the ancient guy - still was signed up to play in prem - though he was deemed too old 2 years back !

harte another premiership failure, he was so slow even inzi could give him a dcent race thats how slow he is,
Waqar's inswinging yorker
30th May 2005, 01:32
LOL - harte was crap in la liga too - HIS SIDE GOT RELEGATED!!!! and he was shown up
Waqar's inswinging yorker
30th May 2005, 01:33
u have lost the idea a bit wasim - harte and almunia were crap in la liga too! ur supposed to come up with the opposite

mendieata the guy was **** for lazio, hes been ok for boro but was 'class' for valencia and barca

WASIM GET UR FACTS RIGHT PLZ - i hate correcting u - first harte, then alumnia and now mendieta.
If mendieta was that crap - how come he lead valencia to champions league final on two seperate occasions?? how come he was coveted by so many different clubs? he has been good for boro
AND CLASS FOR BARCA? *** get ur facts right - he was on loan and barca didnt buy himpermanently even though he was available on the cheap

where did i say that barca had brought him?

Agreed!- La Liga is more fast and competitve than the prem!
Villarreal's Diego Forlan and Arsenal's Thierry Henry and will share the Golden Shoe award for being this season's top goalscorers in Europe.
Ex-Manchester United striker Forlan scored twice on Sunday for his Spanish team to join Henry on the 25-goal mark.
Henry becomes the first player to win the award two years in a row.
It is only the second time it has been shared. In 1989/90 Bulgarian Hristo Stoichkov and Mexican Hugo Sanchez were the joint winners.
Henry is the sixth player to win the award twice, joining such legends as Eusebio and Gerd Muller.
Forlan's double came as Villarreal beat Levante 4-1 to clinch a spot in the next season's Champions League.
"It's been an incredible season and we couldn't have finished it in better style," the Uruguayan said.
"I'm very happy to have ended up as top scorer as it is something that doesn't happen every day.
"Qualifying for the Champions League is a prize that we all deserve as we worked hard for it throughout season."
1= D Forlan (Villareal) 50pts
1= T Henry (Arsenal) 50pts
3= S Eto'o (Barcelona) 48pts
3= C Lucarelli (Livorno) 48pts
3= M Mintal (Nurnburg) 48pts
6 F Tekke (T'zonspor) 46.5pts
2 points, 1.5 or 1 point awarded per goal depending on quality of domestic league

No way the premiership is the best, what are you people on? do you see a fith place team in the spanish league winning the champions league? by liverpool winning the champions league it just underlines how strong the premiership really is! I would love to see a premiership top 11 vs a spanish top 11 even have a b team match aswell that would be really good.

Master p - spain did it it first - REAL DID IT!they were fifth and won CL. Lets just ignore who has won the CL over past 15 yrs - how many english truimphs. La liga is no1 but premiership is challenging serie A IMO

Master-P what about Porto?? they won the champions league - is the Portugese league the best in the world now????
I would watch the Premiership over La Liga any day of the week BUT i have to admit the La Liga is a better league at the moment

unbeaten - in la liga it is harder to go unbeaten - places like bilbao away are very hostile. La liga is more competitive in that respect - i.e. their top 6 are tougher

Nah but it aint that easy to go unbeaten in the premiership either specially if your a london team becuase you have so many derby matches and arsenal dnt have the best stats when it comes to winning derby matches. Do you think its such a loving atmosphere when teams like arsenal have to play totenham or when liverpool play everton?
And poto dnt count we aint talkin about the portoguese leauge cus its crap!
