Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is seeking talks with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich over a transfer truce.

Perez believes Real and Chelsea are pushing the market value of some players to unreachable heights and wants talks with Russian billionaire Abramovich to settle on a pact that they won't interfere with eachother's transfer targets.

Last season, both Real and Chelsea battled for then Porto stopper Ricardo before the London club won the Portugal international's signature for almost £20 million.

Now Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard's price is reaching untouchable heights as Real and Chelsea fight for his signature.

Perez is convinced both clubs are hurting eachother in the market and is seeking co-operation with the Blues about not stepping on eachother's toes ahead of the summer transfer window opening.

There has to be some cap, this is just ridiculious as teams will just keep buying players, degrading the game. This happened in baseball and the New York Yankees won title after title and it showed in their ratings. Their ratings when down by alot, and baseball is the official summer sport in America. IF this continues, ratings will drop severly too, maybe in England.

Sure it is big there, but I mean English cricket is now ont he rise and getting awfully popular with the team winning and 20 20 cricket, while England is beginning to excel in other sports(like Rugby). While in football(or should I say soccer) England's football team has not done anything or won anything in a while, and if Chelsea win each title, then football will come very predictable and boring in England, thus losing interest.

Oh well better for cricket :D
