I have been told that the Pak government generates taxable revenue from a number bookie operations in the horse racing.
Is this a good or bad thing?
gambling is a taboo, along with alcohol but both of these are very common in todays Pakistan.
Should they both be legalised to help the economy get a chunk of the huge amount on money thats changes hands in the black market?
Pakistan is still a baby, as it matures, will it at some point in it's future take the same approach as other older muslim countries like Malaysia and Tunisia who legalise the trade but make it the individuals moral decision to take part or not.
your take?
