Is there any thread on "Tanno" ? :)

No bowler has made an impact in these pitches. with 300s run a norm, even Bruce Ried would have hard time containing batsmen.

Mr. Garner is one forth terrorist. I wouldn't compare Ishant with him as of yet.

Ishant has yet to perform from what I have seen in quite a few matches now, he will come good, but no team can afford consistently under performing players.

good comeback after getting hit in the first over

quick note though, yonus khan has played ishant sharma for both the overs which are part of the good comeback package

He is a fine bowler but is too inexperienced to have a big impact on these pitches

p.s i thought there was a bit of bounce in this pitch so this particular performance has been a touch disappointing

If Ishant is as good as everyone says he is, i saw him in Australia and he certainly showed talent over there then he should play as much as possible on these dead tracks. Thats is the only way he is ever going to learn, if he has the talent then he will come good. Dont buy this over bowling theory. A good bowler should be able to perform regardless of the conditions.

He is only 19

I see him more as a test bowler than an ODI bowler.

I think the Indian selectors need to have a serious think about what they want from this lad. Personally if I were them I would just play him in test cricket.

He looks a totally different bowler than he was in Australia.

During that tour I said that Sharma would be ineffective on Asian wickets ... and the Indians here came after me with their knives out ... well well boys .. what do you have to say now ?

BTW .. Rauf and trundler Rao bowled very well today .. so don't say it was just the pitch.

He is very young and fragile.A fast bowler will gain strength and stamina by the age of 23.Until then he should be given some leniency ,not advisable to play each and every game .Thats almost killing his body .

Well, then he has to work hard. He hasnt impressed me at all, he is leaking too many runs. He needs to improve on flat decks.

His average against Pakistan is above 100 and only 3 wickets from 6 games outside Australia.

He should have tried more yorkers/bouncers.

I didn't say he was earth shattering ,but definitely deserves benfit of the doubt for his age .And ofcourse a long way to go .

He is overworked...

It would be a shame to see him getting injured because of bowling in every match... selectors/coach/captain should watch out for this. He is playing to many matches!

His bowling wasn't that good today. Hopefully he will learn bowling on flat tracks and will help him in the near future. He is only 19, he still got a lot of potential.
