He is the only beam of light in the darkness I see for Pakistan.

I think Imran Khan will never make it to the front line and if he does he will fail big time.

He does not have the attributes required to survive in a place like Pakistan and personally I feel that deep down he is doing it for himself. People like that tend to fail.

But he is the best we have got and I will have him over any other potential leader anyday.

Imran Khan is Pakistan's Obama.... :)))

On a serious note I think he is more of Pakistan's Ralph Nader.

I think we are blowing Obama out of proportion. He literally bought this election spending 10 times more than McCain and went back on his promise to accept public financing. American people are setting themselves up for a big dissapointment. Not much is going to change as far as US foreign policy goes. Obama, Pelosi and Reid....scary combo.

Obama and Imran, what a laughable comparison!

Obama is an intellectual, eloquent and an astute politician while Imran has none of these qualities, he is one angry and sincere politician.

Just to give one out of many examples. Obama in the beginning promised to accept public finance for his campaign finance but later when he realized that he could raise much more on his own, he backed off his promise and time has proved him right. Imran on the other hand still not willing to accept that boycotting election was his mistake. He has been toying around by Qazi even after jamati ghundas gave him a good beating at Punjab University.

It's very hard to compare Obama to Imran.

Obama is dealing with some of the same sort of problems that Pakistan is facing, but in a completely different atmosphere. Pakistan is full of corruption and everyone knows that. Imran Khan is one of few who is trying to stop corruption the right way and amend what can be amended.

Obama and Imran, what a laughable comparison!

I would have to totally disagree with you. You clearly don't know the qualities of Imran as well as the politics of Pakistan. 'jamati ghundas giving him a good beating' doesn't show anything but the fact that how uncivil Pakistanis can be.

Imran Khan may not have required skills to be PM ( could be changed ) he could make justified compromises and be less emotional but he certainly should in the future get the position of some sort in some government.

Though people would have not liked him to be PM when Mush made the offer, I am just thinking if he had, he would have gotten some experience at the top spot and also get involved with some classified information that only the government and army knows, then he could have easily mobilized the public based on his better understanding of the top world experience but that was not to be.

But I would definitely want him to have some sort of a high post as he can make a difference.

Boycotting election was his biggest mistake, given the fact that he was one of the first to start the judiciary movement in the political arena until BB and Nawaz hijacked it and won using it.

However, all is not lost, time will tell whether that was a wise decision.

I dont think Imran Khan can suceed in politics in a place like Pakistan. People just dont vote sensibly and for honest, sincere people. I sometimes wonder when Musharraf offered Imran Khan the prime ministership in 2002, should he have taken it or no.

I tried to, i went to vote only to find out that some government official used my ID to cast a vote. I immediately protested and demanded how could something like this happen only to get a response "Sorry sir, you know how people in the government work, but bottomline is now that your vote has been registered, you technically cannot vote again". I just fumed and ran home in frustration. God knows, where and to which candidate by vote went.

Sigh, and people have the delusion about Democracy flourishing in Pakistan.

Imran was champion cricketer in Pakistan, he has won world cup in 1992 and build Shaukar Khanam hospital. What has Obama done so far except winning election? I do not see any parallel at all.
