Watson or Symonds or Neither?

Who should be in the Aussie test side ? Or are you of the opinion that neither are good enough for test cricket?

Shame Watson is a bits and pieces player, really. He's not really good enough with the bat to win a place on batting alone and he's not good enough with the ball to be picked as a bowler. Still too inconsistent.

Symonds looks the better cricketer but his off-field antics may mean more games for watson!

Cant believe people are chosing Watson. I feel much more comfortable with Symonds at the crease. The attitude that Symonds brings to the Aussie team is unmatched. His fielding is outstanding. Plus he is a flexible cricketer, he can bowl offspin and can bowl medium pace depending on the conditions. Watson's batting has too many flaws and he is a gamble as far as i am concerned.

Watson bowling has improved a lot and as a batsman he is better than Symonds. At least he looks like he has more talent in that area.

He was better than Lee in India so his bowling is not too bad either..

Symmo's a matchwinner as he is one of those few players who can turn a game, much like Gilly. But the issue is that he should have worked his way back into the side, rather than being rushed back into it. Geez we're desperate but not that desperate I would have thought.

Are you serious? Watto CANNOT bat. And he can barely bowl. He needs to be way more consistent if he's batting in the top six.

Both of them would be playing test cricket for other teams regularly but if I had to pick one I would take Symonds due to his match winning ability.
