I understand that since PPP is in power some idolization of Benazir Bhutto will be done. But it´s getting way too much, particularly since start of December, with all these poetry, her pictures, programmes and songs about her doing arounds. I mean, the TV channels are honouring her as if she was some freedom-fighter, or was someone who led us to independence. I´m sure even Hazhrat Quad-e-Azam isn´t paid as much honour and tribute on his death anniversary.

Don´t get me wrong here, I do acknowledge the fact that her death was a shock to each and every Pakistani and we all are very sad about it.

Come on guys be reasonable,

Muralitharan is soon going to take over Wasim's 500 odd ODI wickets.
With the increase in fielding restrictions, minnow teams and more practice in 20/20s someone is bound to break Saeed Anwars 194.

We don't have too many record holders.

Benazir Bhutto has put Pakistan on the global map by breaking the record of the largest swiss bank EVER.

Benazir Bhutto has put Pakistan on the global map by breaking the record of the largest swiss bank EVERBTW: Pakistan has issued limited edition of 10 Rupee coin with Benazir pic on it. Now it might be possible that the waris of her has a claim on it by default so that will not be taking money

What about Teli?

Teli is no where near all he has is a couple of steel mills, a few palaces, unpaid taxes and maybe a few lavish parties and weddings.

i totally agree with you.

in pakistan there is a lot of people-worshipping.

The real people they need to idolise are Edhi, social workers, charity workers.....the small minority of people who want to give something back to pakistan and not loot from the public purse.

in fact, Pervez Musharraf and Imran Khan are angels compared to Benazir & Co, in anything there should be programmes paying tributes to these people.
