OK serious post here, best cricket moments of 2008 for me:

Ajantha Mendis v anyone. Amazing stuff but for me the best was the Test series which proved he is the real thing.

India's chase v England

South Africa's chase v Australia - this one may well have changed the word cricket order.

South Africa's first ever Test series win in England in the modern era.

Virender Sehwag at Adelaide in the second innings making a hundred when nobody else could make 10. India would have lost that match if not for his innings.

Bangladesh being competitive in a couple of Test matches.

This moment stands out for me because I actually watched it on television as it was played live. From the very first ball beautiful stroked over extra cover for 6 with many, many more to come after it. Imran Nazir's edge-of-the-seat display of carnage, the unforgettable innings of 111 in the ICL Finals.

Oh, and also watched live as it happened was Mitchell Johnson's spell of 5 wickets in 5 overs in the 1st Test v South Africa. The best spell I have ever seen in my life.
