4 for hayden
Rob H
2nd July 2005, 09:54
another 4 for hayden, Aussies making a positive start.
This pitch looks like it has alot of pace, Australians should not struggle considering conditions are very similar to home and their bowlers should enjoy this wicket.

Good comeback from Jones
went for more than 9 an over in his first 3 without a wicket
then came back and took a wicket for just 2 runs from 3 overs.
Billy
2nd July 2005, 11:52
He needs to bowl round the wicket to left-handers though.

2nd July 2005, 14:41
How crap can England get, its like they've never played at lords before or never chased before, or even never batted before, absoulotly appaling stuff from them. I bet even Bangladesh could come back and bowl them out in this final!!!
Rob H
2nd July 2005, 14:42
4 more Flintoff showing the Aussies what he can do
spongebob
2nd July 2005, 14:43

I think the auzzies will clinch this match.
mumtaz
2nd July 2005, 17:04
from now england should win it seeing that 4 of the last 8 overs have to be bowled by hussey or hogg. england can only shoot themselves in the foot by getting out to mcgrath or lee.
spongebob
2nd July 2005, 17:10
Collingwood is run out!!!
mumtaz
2nd July 2005, 17:11
or by getting run out for that matter, Collingwood style.
mumtaz
2nd July 2005, 17:13
39 off 36 now!! hogg now bowling, negative move by ponting, should have tried to get giles out with lee or mcgrath.

mumtaz
2nd July 2005, 17:42
You know England only needs to get 9. If its a tie England would win the tournament coz they finished better in the group stages.

Match Tied :6::6::6::6:
mumtaz
2nd July 2005, 17:53
So tied final? who wins now? Tied final should have the same rules as that tied semi-final.
Hashim
2nd July 2005, 17:54
wow, tie, unbelievable.
Hashim
2nd July 2005, 17:54
what happnes now?
Match tied. England should have won this one but it will be Australia who will be most angry about the result.
Rob H
2nd July 2005, 17:55
they share the trophy
mumtaz
2nd July 2005, 17:55
England should win bcoz of more points in group stages.
Noman
2nd July 2005, 17:58
But it's a Finale,.....
But really England top order was very very poor, all the batsman was going hard after the ball....
I think the plan was>>>>the top order should have played like test match then Flintoft and Pietersen could make them win,.,
mumtaz
2nd July 2005, 18:02
Yeah this match so makes me wonder if sending Hafeez 1 down instead of Malik in the VB series finals was after all the right thing to do. Lee and McGrath with the new ball seem unplayable at the moment.
Hashim
2nd July 2005, 18:03
match tied, fair result i suppose
Rob H
2nd July 2005, 18:05
man of the series is Symonds
