You have very high expectations from him. Slow down buddy, he needs more then a flat pitch to score a 100 :))
On a serious note, we never know, he might surprise us...

his last 100 was scored on this pitch v india wasnt' it? and then the pitch was a little more helpful to the seamers.

Pak fans need to wish him the best in this Test. Pak winning should matter more than a player failing for you fans.

i think bhanja has the potential. he is lacking in confidence most of the time. he has to show the temprament of a test player. he has got good defence and at times can play aggresively as well. ive seen him play in middle east against likes of warne n he played really well. /

not as simple as that. the kind of haters he s got here. they will say he should not even pass by the tv set who is showing a cricket match let alone playing by himself.

True i think we might have to persist with him for a while even though i prefer Fawad over him any day. If he does good then keep him if not then Fawad deserves a shot the guy is amazing and has definitely not been giving the credit thats due...
Maybe Afridi could be the only one that they would like to take that spot... if so..then i hope Afridi

I'm no fan of the guy - I detest the politics surrounding his every inclusion
BUT
When he is picked in the starting XI, I'll back him 100% - and want him to win us the game hopefully!

I think the hate towards him is unfair but they dont see how he gets a place ahead of better performing players.............and dont forget with Butt, YK, Malik, Misbah and Akmal its not as though the batting needs experience!

How many cricketers can you name with a better domestic record?
he may not have YK or Misbah's experience, akthar's or asif's bad boy persona, or afridi's film star looks, but he consistently performs on a domestic level better than all of them.
My first and only loyalty is with performance, so I love this kid

Can't be too many cricketers around in Pakistan domestic cricket to have ever averaged 56 after 5 years since his debut.

I think the sentiments are quite justified.
I say this with the utmost seriousness: it will benefit Pak cricket greatly in the long run if he fails.
If he fails miserably, it will actually benefit them in the short run as well, as his chances of getting selected in the very next match become slimmer.

Faisal Iqbal hasn't regularly covered himself in glory but I fail to see why he gets so much flak considering only Inzi, YK and Yousuf have actually done anything of note over the last few years. Everyone else who's played deserves similar criticism.

But never has their been a batsmen who has had such a great first-class record who is performing well to come in and play apart from Misbah and look where he is now..............
I understand his selection against Sri Lanka spinners but in the longer run i feel there are better options..........Faisal Iqbal against India and Sri Lanka and Fawad Alam against everyone else? Would that work?

The same thing can be said of Malik and misbah and co. I don't see them as long term success stories.
But I do agree that fawad alam deserves his chance, but it doesn't have to be just faisal who makes way....

Misbah and Malik have respectable Test records and shown that they can play at the highest level.............While its nothing personal Faisal Iqbal cant play pace bowling today Sangakkara and Jayawardene troubled Faisal with slight movement of the bowl as did Fernando........If he can play pace like he plays spin then he can play but he must improve his ability to play pace bowling first!

worst performer??? who's the judge of that? He is no worse than misbah or malik....in fact if you take the current test he's played better innings than both malik and misbah.
Personally I don't rate any of them. All 3 should be dropped. Moyo should come back with Fawad Alam and afridi

Malik and Misbah are just as mediocre -albeit with slightly better stats. We need some quality players.

In the long run i dont want Malik in the test side - id much rather the likes of Amin, Alam etc start to be picked BUT i would certainly pick him ahead of Bhanja, Afridi etc
