In my time on here I have learnt a couple but they are getting old.

Have also learnt a lot about a culture fairly foreign to mine which has been enriching. :)

A few things I would like to be saying in Urdu:

"This is a stupid post"

"Good innings, well played"

"Indians, complaining again"

Examples:

- Shandaar innings - better than good, more like gooder or in layman terms very good or great
- umda innings

ballaybazi can be used for batting - balla means bat

bahot he shaandar ballaybazi ka muzahira - great display of batting

I think 'short ball' is proper Urdu now. I don't think many Urdu speaking people will understand 'choti ball'.

Therefore,

isn't short ball more like oonchi gaind and not chooti gaind. Proper translation will probably be translating "ball landing before 8.2 meter line" something like "aath asharia 2 gaz say pahlay tippa khannay wali gaind" but this ball is chest high or higher atleast in proper sense. So the proper translation will have to accomodate for that.
"aur yey phapary walli ball" can cover it

But Momo it could well be that the letter G has been used for J here. Often Pakistanis/Indians use it whilst typing a roman version of their language. For example "mujhe" is often written as "mughe".

In that sense the phrase could well be: "tu sudhar ja aur pakistani ki taraf ho ja" (in English: "You better reform yourself and support Pakistan/start supporting Pakistan").

I think Leyhaza means "Therefore".

Did you mean Tareekh? If so, it means "Date" (As in, today is June 17th)

I don't know what you mean by the last one. Perhaps you meant Zameen? Which translates into "Ground/Earth/Floor"

So in sense of your favourite sentence, it is "Bharati phir ro rahey hain":P.
