look for a 3-4 star hotel. You might find good Nihari shop there. You are just going there to sleep but paying $100 more for 5 star

i stayed in Mina'a salaam, was amazing. the service and the fact u got a part of jumeira beach that is privatly owned (only people staying at the hotel are allowed). theres also a shopping centre downstairs and lots of restraunts. u also get a rele good view of the burj from the beach as the hotel is just a couple mins walk from the burj.

All I'll say is that you'd be hardpressed to find a decent hotel in downtown Toronto for that price, forget 5 star.

:)) Yar - All I want is to watch cricket and Pakistan win. My previous forays into international travel to watch cricket are as follows
1. Went to Lahore for the last 2 ODIS of the Jeet lo Dil series - both lost + got a stomach upset that lasted weeks , only positive was to meet Razzaq in Chen One
2. Took the whole family from London to Amsterdam to watch Pak V Ind - arrived in torrential downpour - match abandoned. Family has never forgiven me for that - the story is told with a great deal of laughter and abuse at many parties.
I just hope this trip is different !
As for spending money - well in these days of economic turmoil - its not that easy so you can imagine how desparate I am to see Pak play !

so u can get a 5 star for $100 a night in dubai?.thats really good!nahi yaar. But you can get one for that price in Vegas on certain days these days as they want people to come as business has gone down a bit. But what is the difference between 5 star hotel and a decent hotel/motel (can be 3-4 star)? room service and restraunts? The rest look basically the same except in the cheaper hotel I might get free breakfast and some places there might be a stove, pots, plates, microwave and fridge. Not much difference in the bed/pillow quality or the TV

ISI has informed us during the Pak - Aus series PP is going to be raided by angry Aussie fans. Hence you need to report for your moderator duties everyday.

Don't want the facts to get in the way of a good story but wasn't the game reduced to 33 overs rather than abandoned? Or did you leave early thinking the rain would abandon the whole day's play?
