Inzi was a great batsman but as captain he was no good he was given the job cos he was the best player in the team and had a long run as a powerfull captain but he was a total flop to me.
He was the first captain to lose a home series vs India lose a series in Eng after 25 years failed in WC big time, did not bring any new players during his time, wasted team slots on ppl like sami and razzaq.

Thought of bring this statement by myself before you hear this from any Aussie

I think Pakistan has great chance of winning today. If spinners continue to insert some pressure it won't easy hitting out in the end against Ajmal or the fast bowlers.

73-2 after 18.1 overs

Good comeback by Pakistan, I would think.

Another wicket, and we're game. (In America, that means, we're good to go)

Really good captaincy from YK by bringing in Malik...

If Malik gets going than Pakistan would bring Ajmal replacing Afridi after 5-6 overs, that would mean Afridi can bowl in crucial period of 35-45 overs...

Sheikh
27th April 2009, 12:28
This partnership has been all about consolidation and it's been a pretty important one from an Aussie perspective. Sets it up nicely for them to lift the run rate.

Another wicket or two now and we can really apply the brakes.

It's 40 degrees and the ball is gripping and turning. I doubt Younis would bowl his faster men for their entire quotas.

That's what I've been saying. Why play Ajmal when you have Malik who can pretty much do the same job?

Play Alam and have him and Malik split the 5th bowlers role (6-7 from Malik and 3-4 from Alam). That would strengthen the batting and the fielding considerably.
