Is there anyway i could possibly burn a dvd onto a normal CD. Considering that the DVD is 7.6GB while a normal CD is just 700MB. Would Nero work with this? :(

VCD yes, but not DVD. You have to have a DVD disk for that.

Some advice for you Fawad:

Go to your local superstore and find the aisle signed 'Intellectual Accessories'. Look for something called 'Common Sense'. It will help solve A LOT of your day-to-day problems! ;-)

Then there is a question of capacity. Normal CD has less capacity but DVD has more. If there is too much data then it won't fit on a normal CD.

BTW: If you have lots to data to save in a CD use DVD. It has lots of capacity as you mentioned above.

Fawad,

Sadly you can't burn a dvd movie(containing dvd codecs) onto a normal cd(which would then become a vcd).

But there is a way around this but inevtibly you wil have to compromise (i.e. loose some of the original dvd quality) the quality of the original dvd when burning its contents onto a cd.

First and formeost find out the format of your dvd, it will be some sort of dvd codec, check out both the video and audio format's.

Once you have estabished the formats then you will have to download a good dvd to mpeg codec converter which will enable you to convert your dvd contents into suitable vcd format which will enable you to convert your dvd into a vcd.

Hope that helps.

Burning DVDs- Help needed!

Easy.

Buy some petrol, some wood and a box of matches. Start your fire and place your DVD into the fire. The DVD is guaranteed to burn :)

Sure you can. With old versions of software you can create a data cd or with newer versions you can create a music cd. They both give you same result. You can use CD for this purpose and if you have lots of MP3s you can put them in 1 DVD.
