I cant help but feel all the dropped catches and runs conceded by dropping a specialist keeper will end up costing us this game.
The perth bounce may undo our batsmen once again!
I hate to say I told you so but I told you so.

We were lucky in the end that most of the drops weren't too costly. We got Gili fairly early even after dropping him twice. Martyn departed soon after YK had dropped him. Clarke though did hit out after he was dropped.
The bowling generally was pretty good and the ground fielding was also not too bad. It is a good batting surface and a 250 is an expected score.
How we deal with the bounce is another story.

Clarke's catch could have made a big difference Butt sahib better make some runs today.
It was a disappointing performance in the field. The bowlers did VERY well

I think we conceded 40 runs too many just coz we dropped Clarki. Younis should bat at 4 and not Afridi.

Now we have no chance

we conced more then many.
Yes but Pakistan didnt have first choice attack. I think this game showed the merits of bowling to take wickets regularly and not just merely looking to contain.

even with a part time keeper it was specialist idiots like Butt and Yasir who dropped sitters!!
Yasirs 12 runs dont make up for the bad fielding!

Oh well we made an honest mistake. It could happen to anyone
You still have to look to how u can get better. And the keeper is one area.

amit- Kamran was given a rest. He has played in every single game so far in the series. Nothing wrong with giving the kid a rest!

Yes but it's not just because of the wicket keeper. Our overall field work is appalling from basic fielding, catching, running and throwing at the stumps, backing up, no balls and wides, running between wickets..etc
All these are basics of cricket and is not asking for too much for a professional and international team to be good at an acceptable level. Right now and probably in all our history this part of our game has been unprofessional, school boy level, and basically pathetic and embarrassing.

I feel sorry for Akmal. Just when his confidence was steadily increasing, they go on drop him.
Sends the wrong signals to the young man - who has done very well on this tour.
