One of the most exciting of all the Ashes Series is happening...

Kangaroos (Aussies) won the first test match easily by 200+ runs...

Lions (England) came back with a nail-biting two-runs win in the second test...

The third test match ended in a fingers-eating fashion: 26-balls to go; Kangaroos need around 52 to win; Captain Ponting batting on 156; Ponting got out; 25-balls remaining England now need only one wicket to claim a 2-1 lead in the five test match series; Bret Lee and McGrath played out those tense deliveries, where on occasion there were seven slips standing to look for a catch; it was really hand or finger eating finish; moral victory for Aussies...

In South Africa: Three one-day internationals: Inzi leading Asian XI (Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) against Africa XI (Kenya, Zimbabwe and South Africa); matches staring tomorrow; Shoaib Akhtar playing for Asian XI...

The first ever All-Pakistan School Cricket Final happening next week: This was proposed by Rashid Latif to PCB, who got this idea from me, when he sent me an E-Mail late last year asking for suggestion to improve the country's talent PCB; Pepsi is sponsoring it; it will be live televised in Pakistan from Gaddafi Stadium August 23-24, 2005; Ibrahim Ali Bhai School Karachi Vs Government High School Nanakpura Peshawar...

India lost to Sri Lanka in the Final of India Oil Cup in Sri Lanaka; Indian performance was below par, as they lost to Sri Lanka three times and once to Windies; they won twice against Windies, but not very convincingly, although Windies were playing their "B" team; Ganguly is back as Captain with Sewag as Vice-Captain after this defeat; also Dravid announced he would not be palying as Vice-Captain for Asian XI as he wants to rest before Indian tour of Zimbabwe next month...

Kiwis (New Zealand) are hammering Zimbabwe very badly, when home team Zimbabwe were out twice under hundred in one-day and test match over in two days...

Pakistanis Naved-Al-Hasan, Mushtaq Ahmed and Azhar Mahmood are performing tremendously in County Cricket...

Lets hope it lasts. Cricket has really come alive since England became a sucessful team. It's really good for the game. The thing that could kill it though is all England home cricket on skysports. All England home cricket should be on the BBC. It would be the best for the game IMO no matter how much more money sky are putting into the ecb.

totally agree wiv rob here, television compaines shud take not of this sudden interest in cricket(beating football to the back AND FRONT pages of newspapers), and inshallah we shud see more offers from more terrestrial tv companies for cricket all over the world

exactly the reason why it shouldnt be on Sky (nothing against Sky as they do excellent coverage)
