PESHAWAR: Minister for Railways Ghulam Ahmad Bilour has said those who are fasting on Sunday stand by the side of Qadianis and ‘we’ can only be Muslims if we celebrate Eid with Saudi Arabia.

He said this while talking after offering Eid prayers on Sunday, according to a private TV channel.
‘Some Ulemas have made Eid a matter of their ego while this is not in any way a question of someone’s prestige. This is a religious matter, as the Eid moon was sighted in Lahore and Karachi and later the NWFP government announced to celebrate Eid,’ he underlined.
‘We should celebrate Eid ul Fitr with Saudi Arabia and this way no conflict or dispute would emerge. Those who are not celebrating Eid on Sunday are politicking. When there are no differences over Eid-ul-Azha then why it does arise on Eid-ul-Fitr’, he questioned.

He was of the view it was a grave sin to fast on Eid Day, adding those who observed fasting on Sunday they were on the side of Qadianiat.
‘Muslims all over the world should have to associate themselves with Makkah and Madinah,’ he stressed. –Online

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Fast with people, and break your fast with people, and offer sacrifice with people.” As explained by Imam Ibn Taymiyah, this means you should be following your community in the beginning AND ending of Ramadan.

This means that he is just as wrong as those he is blaming because everyone should be together as the prophet (PBUH) said.

It's ridiculous what happens in Pakistan noways. Fighting over petty things.

The least we should do is that Pakistan as a nation should be together [follow Saudi or not[ at least do it together for the sake of God.

How does this Imam know for certain that is what the Prophet (p.b.u.h) meant?

In today's world in the information age the communities are not small anymore, Pakistan as a nation is one community.

When something happens in Karachi, within a very the information can be sent to remote communities in NWFP.

I can ask the same thing in regards to what the ANP leader is saying. Who gave him the right to call those people Qadiani?

The Arabs are the worst in unbelief and hypocrisy and most fitted to be in ignorance of the command which Allah hath sent down to his apostle: but Allah is All-Knowing All-Wise

Why should muslims associate themselves by people whom God despises

You left out the next part of the verse.

[9:99] Other Arabs do believe in GOD and the Last Day, and consider their spending to be a means towards GOD, and a means of supporting the messenger. Indeed, it will bring them nearer; GOD will admit them into His mercy. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

Arabs who were pagans were hell bent pagans but who became Muslims - no one in the world could shake their faith.
