Firstly, Guptill is bowling well.
Secondly, not ALL the time do batsmen get out to amazing deliveries. You have to see it from all teams' perspectives. The bowlers can get the batsmen to make mistakes, which is exactly what Guptill did. The openers did their job again, and it's up to MoYo, Misbah, Kamran, and Umar to make something of it.
Anything special you have seen in his bowling? any variation etc?

They did partt of their job. They were effectively starting from scratch today - they should have approached it as if they were both 0*
But they didnt

It was fine if they got out to good-average bowls
But gifting your wickets like this and that to back to back is unacceptable

You are right they give us good opening partnership but i think what Sallu is trying to say is if you have a good start then they both should have use it properly

This is test cricket so for heaven sake put some price on your wicket. I am so frustrated at these idiots throwing their wickets away that cost us the test after test.
1st test SL chasing 160 odd and oppositions main weapon is an average leftarm spinner. The only left hand batsman who is the best player to counter herath on last day wicket throws his wicket away after well set and we collapse to lose.
2nd test SL 280/1 big partnership and captain throws it away with an unbelievable reverse sweep team collapses for 320 all out.
And its same story through out this series.
