Going by average in all world cups played...........

Dravid and Richards nearly the same but look at the different style of batting.......stats never tell everything.

Look at the number of runs and has to have minimum criteria or innings like 10 atleast. Divide the runs by innings if going by average.

Or sort it by number of runs, take the players with 1000 runs and you will get closer to the answer.

Hardly any top order batsman in that list! All bowlers or bowling all rounders!!!

I always knew Akhtar was a great batsman. Really shows those losers who feel Bradman was the best. :))

And all the runs made by others in the league stages and knock out stages count for nothing I suppose. Jayasuriya was instrumental in the cup and was the man of the series rightly. You cannot just piggy back on others performance till the final and then earn a name for yourself. Aravinda's knock was great but the world cup belonged to Jaya
