Winning the toss and bowl first is the wrong decision made by the defensive captain Mohammad Yousuf and thats only difrence of the defeat in the second ODI.
Australia produced a commanding all-round performance to take a 2-0 lead with a 140-run demolition of Pakistan at the SCG. After being led by Shane Watson and Cameron White in their 6 for 267, the hosts delivered a stinging bowling display to knock over the tourists for 127 in 37.3 overs.
Pakistan lost their first five wickets for 42 in an awful opening and the result added further to the troubles of the captain Mohammad Yousuf, who is being replaced after the series. Yousuf had mistakenly chosen to bowl first in the hope of getting an advantage from the overcast conditions in the afternoon, but all the support came for the fast men as the sun started to go down. The ball seamed and bounced dangerously for Doug Bollinger, Peter Siddle and Clint McKay and the tourists could not cope.
Salman Butt (2) went in the fifth over nicking a shorter one from Bollinger and was taken at second slip by White. Three balls later the combination repeated the dismissal, dropping Pakistan to 2 for 7, when White dived to his left to catch the edge of Younis Khan.

260 was a chasable total on this wicket... his decision to bowl first didnt cost us the match, it was pak batsmens brain farts...

What i dont get is, how the hell was this guy :moyo expecting us to chase even 100 fully well aware of the fact, that we would collapse to 70 all out....
i just dont get it at all....

TBH I was shocked to see on cricinfo when I woke up that Pakistan has put Australia in.
Just by knowing how we usually chase that was a strange decision for me atleast.

Chasing 260 in under lights is never easy you thing about other team can chase but not Pakistan never good in under lights they lost to New Zealand recently by chasing 212 they fail to chase that so how do you expect Pakistan can chase that.

dude its not bout chasing...
we cannot beat Australia, until everything is 110%
with all the sh*t Pakistan team is going through on the field and off it, playing this series was a disaster b4 it even started
and with MoYo as your captain after seeing how he performed in Test series and PCB appoints him again, jus goes on to show how retarded it all is...
whereas you look at Australia, they hardly have any issues...

But bowl first would have have been even better put runs the board and then bowlers took the step up. A win will give them series level but the series is almost over now.

i think it's a bit unfair to put all the blame of this defeat on Moyo....its become trendy to criticise him nowadays....the aussie commentators seem to like overdoing it too. i agree he's a crap captain and should go.....but the toss was not as significant as our crap batting display.... we lost because our batting collapsed without a good reason

When was the last time we chased to win a game ?
Knowing full well we couldnt even chase 175 to win a test match at the SCG our captain wins the toss... and puts the opposition in ...
Well done :moyo :14:
Who in their sane minds would think Pakistan can chase a target :26:

Pakistan are playing shockingly poor cricket. They would've lost Night or Day, Bat First or Second, rain or shine.
This is the 5th straight loss in Australia. Shameful..

ok, we have a poor record chasing.... but this wasn't a massive total.... i accept moyo made the wrong decision....but to put all blame at him is unfair.....our batters need to learn to consolidate.... collapses can'\t be blamed on the captain unless it was solely down to the conditions.....do you think aussies wouldve collapsed like we did if they batted 2nd?

NO .. because let me tell you our team's worth ...
Watson 9 Butt 6
Marsh 8.5 Akmal 7
Ponting 9 Younus 5 ( on present form)
Clarke 8 Yousuf 8
Hussey 9 Akmal 6.5
White 9 Malik 4
Haddin 7 Afridi 7
See the batting stats.. and compare to ours.. and tell me.. if we shouldnt collapse with these ratings

The opening bowlers also didn't do the job.
Mr :gul kept it short
:aamir also didn't kept the ball up.
If :asif was there he would have taken the wicket of Watson because there sure was something in the pitch for the bowlers.
But then, come on. Watching the last game, and that Bloody marvellous seam and swing under lights add oversat conditions to that, how would you expect us to chase even 150, forget about 267.

Watson called it at the end of the aussie innings....he was interviewed and said he was fortunate the pak bowlers served up some rubbish (not in those words)....and said Aus bowlers would no where to pitch it to make it difficult to score..... he said when pak bowlers pitched it in right areas it was difficult to score and survive......
