After the amazing PPL Season 5 and the recently concluded World Test Championship. I was just thinking.....what's next :P
Are we just gonna take a chill pill and calm down :moyo
That would be boring!!!!!!

Well the next tournament will be the Champions League.
The tournament will involve the two finalists from the PPL, London Lions and Lahore Leopards as well as the domestic T20 from England, Pakistan, Australia, South Africa and perhaps a couple more.
The tournament will involve an auction of players from PPL teams not involved to the other domestic champions and of course the formal of games will be T25.
I know this sounds a bit complicated so if you have any questions regarding the tournament, myself and Boi are here to answer those :)

When will this League be held? I'm planning to do the second season of the PakPassion International World Cup, with more fun and thrills. I'm planning to do it around the 17-18th of March till early April.

We actually have a pre made plan to hold the Champions League on those exact dates, so that is around the 20th of march onwards. So yeah youll either have to adjust your dates or obviously you would be running it at the same time which might cause a few issues.

Ye. Don't think running both tournaments will work like last time. it just creates confusion and im quiet sure majority wants CL rather than PPWC.

HasanB is right. When we had the PPL 5 and the Intl WC running at the same time, it was very confusing! We could barely find team threads, match threads etc.
I think Champions League is a good idea and should start in around about a month. Im not saying that Intl WC shouldn't be held, just not at the same time :)

Will we have a managers only for the international domestic teams or will PP members be inducted into their squads as well?

Yes the exact details of how this will be carried out need to be finalised (youre one of the oganisers btw KU :P )
However basically the idea is to take the best PP members of all the other PPL teams for example Oxy, Raz, Omar Malik etc etc and put them all together in a pool of players. Each of the domestic champions will then be assigned a budget and they can pick up players in an auction which will be help prior to the tournament.
This way we will get to involve more people and hopefully itll be an exciting and new concept.

Very good concept. I like the idea of having a pool of top PP players.

I have a little request in terms of the dates for this tourney. Here in Canada we are getting our march breaks from March 13th - March 21st. Thus, it would be helpful if we could get it going sometime during that period.
I know the time does not revolve around me but its a request.

Yes I am actually coming back from holiday around that time, so in fact if everyone else is ok with it...that could be a good time to start.

Considering that we won't be starting till a months time that qualifies as a breather don't you think? Where exactly did I say we're starting tomorrow or something? I'm just going by what is convenient for most people who take part in these PP leagues.

Too many leagues. They're all fun and laughter but when you have an overkill then it certainly loses some enjoyment. We can take it easy from now on till summer holidays. This idea from Hasan is very fascinating and I say go for it but not straightaway. :)

We have tournaments like the PPL, WTC, "Average improvement" series, Champions League. I think if we create another tournament or two the "itinerary" will look decent. In between these tourneys we can run other tournaments such as Paradox's tourney.
If we release a proper schedule it will make everything a lot easier for everyone. This is my idea to make it more organized instead of just randomly starting tourneys here and there without structure.
The 'Average Improvement' series will be taking place soon. Just need to talk to FAM about some stuff about it.

What I don't get is would you like to explode? :))
Because the last tournament, even though settled down in the end, seemed like a teeny bit of a head-doer for you. But then again, I'm relatively new to the leagues, so maybe its just tradition.

Alright guys just a quick update. We've put together a provisional list of 9 teams for the Champions League...the list is temporary because we have to wait for the winners of the RBS T20 and South African Pro20 competitions before finalising the list of teams.
The format will be the same as the recently concluded WTC. As the tournament is a T25 tournament it should be over a lot quicker than that tournament.
Also we now have a provisional list of 16 players that will take part in the auction for the CL. We'll put up all these finalised lists later on.
