hello everyone,
i'm an 18 yrs old rite arm fast bowler.height:6'1 feet,weight:175 lbs.

unfortunately i'm living abroad to complete my further education.

can anyone tell me wether these pace camps r going to be held next year during summer holidays(june, july) or not?

i feel very bad tht i cant take part this year.i'm in great physical shape and have been working out vigorously for almost 4 years.i'm sure i can ATLEAST bowl in the high 80s for LONG spells.unfortunately my speed has never been officially recorded.

i could bowl real fast when i was 15-16,and i was in Pakistan those days.but PCB never conducted these PURE speed competetion camps THEN:12: .only because india conducted these camps, pak followed suit.india opened MRF academy so pak opened NCA after a decade.

nways,i hope a real express paceman is discovered in the process:10: .

you bowl fast...good for you...but what's up with these "india did this and pakistan copied" type attitude...india has to open up bowling academies and have pace competitions every two weeks because they're desperate to find someone who can bowl past 70mph...we don't...

Is there anything wrong with taking ideas from someone else, if you start worrying about copying someone then this world will come to a stand still. You take ideas from others add your bit to it hoping that a better result would be produced, thats how its always been and I dont find anything wrong with this approach.

Pakistan has had a pace competition before as well. We had one 2-3 years ago called the UFONE competition but it was conducted differently.

sorry guys.i was just feeling bitter about being unable to take part in the pace competition, tht's y tht "pak copied india" attitude was evident.

but coming back to my question.does anyone know if more such official competitions would be conducted by PCB in the coming months and years?

also, were these events telecast on TV?if so,on which channel?

there is no problem taking ideas from someone else...but what india does is due to its own problems and what we do is due to ours...india opened up pace academies because it needs pacers...we didn't have to at the time...not because we didn't think of it...actions are dependent on needs...now we're having pace competitions and opening up academies because we need to find quality pacers...not because we just want to copy india...
