would be a waste if it wasn't in karachi i would think, with most of our economic activity cenetered around there. looks neat.

Yaar this is a bank I believe that was built by MCB for their convience in Karachi. I read about this on their website. Here you go:

ofcourse its a bank, i.i chandigrar road is changing very fast, big companies and banks are opening up good buildings there. citi tower have a 30+ story building coming up, state bank have a 26 storey one and there are many more.
