Where has this guy been all these years? Man! He looks to be in tremendous form and together with Kieswetter I think England can have one of the finest opening combo in world T20.

And then follow KP, Colly and Morgan, and we know Broad and Bresnan can bat too.

Can England be the surprise-team this time around?

And what exactly has he accomplished?

I have watched him in 3-4 games in IPL now and no other opener has impressed me as much as he had. He seems to be clean striker of the ball.

He's beating the kebab out of less than domestic bowlers bro. You're a good poster but this thread is made in haste.

Who is making him a superstar? He is a decent player and is doing well at the moment and he can become even better. Here are some of his scores so far in IPL:

41 (30 balls)
45 (32)
30 (16)
37(26)
15(10)
83(43)

If Salman butt, also lefthanded, can have scores like this every second innings I would have made him Afridis deputy!

yes only in his first Inning (IPL debut) he got out on 0 and flop in 1 or 2 more games otherwise always given a good start to RR...this could be Shane Warne affect. ...Warne is a great motivator ....

Forget IPL rubbish

He's been doing it for such a LOOOOOOOOONG time for Hampishire. He is indeed a VERY good player and about times he;s included!

Not seen much of him but I've never been one to judge a player on IPL performances, its one thing smacking it around at club level but a completely different thing against the top teams. Btw, even Albie Morkel looks like Gilchrist in these scorecards.
