Not really feeling this. No "oomph" factor.

Is hard rock really the big thing in Pakistan these days?

there's only so much urdu head banging i can take.

Song was kinda crap but at least this video focused on the cricket and not some group of guys drinking Pepsi.

Poor song, worse video. Not enough cricket in the video, and far too much of fat blokes with girly hair and poor dress sense.

Paradox
29th April 2010, 08:35
Totally agree with Shehryar. Pakistan doesn't need a hard-rock song for their cricket campaigns, motivational songs are the best. Hum Se Hai Yeh Zamana by Call was the BEST. I also loved how our own Usman Chadda made an amazing, amazing video montage of it.

This song is poor.

The genre of the song is not important, it's the quality that counts...and this was pathetic.

Maybe might get a feel for it after listening to it many many more times, but nah!

Yes, we are reading this and to add into your information, We are loving it the negative energy coming out of you guys, Indian? blah! My friend, if any one of you is in Karachi who is commenting this is Apun is out of Indian/Hindi slang. he/she should pm me and i will take that person to such localities here in Karachi who are using these slang in their normal life.
such as:
Marwari
Kathwari Memon

If you be in Karachi this is the common street lang.

Anyway,
We are really Sorry but we cannot make songs like Hum se hai zamana(may be because we cant). The only point behind this song is to get the maximum energy out of it and I guess we are doing justice with it.

As far as looks are concerned, Sorry we aint no Atif aslam/Ali zafar. We are not pretty at all but at least all of us are pro musicians. We do know our scales very well!

We are not trying to make yet another Jazba Junoon/Hum say hai Zamana/Badal do Zamanay ko.

We did what we did it in Aisi taisi and to add into your surprise, We wont stop. We will bring it more and more like these kind of songs. Yes this is all about what happens on Streets of Karachi while playing Cricket in tiny small galis of ours. We have been grown up playing cricket day and night in these so called GALI's we love where we are coming from. All of us are from Karachi and we have seen all in and outs, good and bad of this city so we are giving it back.

and unfortunately yes this is GEO's Official anthem for T20 WC and rest of the series coming up in near future

Aur koi hai? Tu samnay aye! Hum sawalon se nai dartay aur na hi chuptey hai.

I would like to end my post here with (Try to appericiate the effort we did this from our own pockets for the love of the game and Pakistan. We didnt dragged down Pepsi or any other major sponsor and bagged millions in our pocket and made a song which they cant even sing it properly)

Cheers.

I quite like the song to be honest. I can't see why people think its lacking in Josh or Jazba. I can understand if its a bit too "heavy" for some people's liking but the video links in quite nicely with the song. I grew up on the streets of Karachi so i quite liked the lingo. Especially like the line about "galli ki katri". Reminded me of the hundreds of tape-ball night mathces i played in my galli when I was too young to hit it straight over the boundary and used to rely on that "katri". Well dont guys!!!

Not the worse song i've heard. This song had shades of their previous hit single Aisi Taisi.

I like the genre, i like the idea, but yes, i live in karachi and although some people do use words like Apun wagera here, most of the Pakistanis dont really approve it as their own. Karachi/Lahore has its own street language, we just dont want an indianized version of it, probably in future this will help you.

If we go on to win it again this time, everyone will remember it, wether they like it or not :D

Thats very very wrong thing to say. We were the ones who wrote negative stuff about you,not Call the band.Call's got wonderful singers Xulfi and Junaid and you should not write stuff about them when they are actually more successful than you.
And you're talking about the singing, well you guys are not exactly Ali Azmat yourselves either ;-).

You're song is criticized because
1.People were expecting something along the likes of Jazba Junoon/Dil Dil Pakistan/Humse Hai Yeh Zamana
2.The "apun" factor
3.Weak lyrics
3.You guys are not famous(they were thinking of big names) and thus whatever you do in this video is labelled as wannabe.
4.The style of the song seemed too wannabe gunda-type.

Anyway the genre is fine though.

not being able to go to Pakistan on a regular basis does not equate to having weak links to your home country...and I'm sure most if not all have family there who they would have interacted with at some time or the other...you're making it sound like Pakistan is some far off island that is completely alien to non-resident Pakistanis, and that the song this band has created can only appeal to the 'islanders'.

extremely pathetic song. GEO has gone nuts recently. There is no motivation in the song (like jazba junoon), lyrics are poor and the hard rock and crazy singers make it worse. There is no "Pakistaniyat" in this song.
