Yunus Khan brought some victories and got Pakistan close to wins before his team wanting to fail him gave up the game.
I think Yunus modelled himself on Imran Khan as a strict captain wanting his team to fight like wounded tiger which was not acceptable to our lazy, Kaamchoor team and therefore they not only got him sacked after severe mental torture.
you guys may remember our lazy, kaamchoor team opposed appointing Whatmore as he would have made them work very hard.

He got what he deserved. Not saying 'sorry' to the Chairman?! Hes lucky to be alive. A life time ban was a lenient sentence.

Exactly!! Younis was an amazing player... The most underrated player in our side
Pakistan danday ki qom hai, they need a strict person like younis, Dictator, Jamhoriyat is flop in pakistan.

Pakistan danday ki qom hai, they need a strict person.
Agreed. An intelligent person does not need a danda, he learns his lessons from experience ...
But we as a nation are a lost herd of sheep who has no idea about it's destiny and it's existence ...
Our team is only a small representation of our nation in general.

We looked our best under his captaincy, shame what unfolded..but he's bluntly said he won't return to captain the side.

He is one of the best Pakistani batsman that's true ...but saying he is the only hope that will be a major problem .. ..Now Pakistan need to put more younger batsman in reckoning mind this not 1 or 2 at least 5 ...there must be the competition to get selected in the team and give their best shot ...play them in Pak 'A' tour play them in Academy cricket of other nation and play them in 2 3 ODI matches too ..I am not saying they will come gud in their start but play them ...and this way put more batsman in list of selection ...then there will b lots of competition in batting as it is in the bowling....:)
n it terms of captaincy that's too not a good Idea will come gud for short period ...a younger leader required this time ..who can lead 5 years on the trot....
well from appearances younis seemed like a happy go lucky guy who was committed to his team and country. some of his behavior might have made him an easy target for resentment and put him out of favor from the rest of the team. that includes his friendship/devotion to the late woolmer (teacher's pet?) and his strict work ethic (who wants to do that)
imo the only way forward for pakistan cricket regardless of the outcome of this wc (even if we somehow luck out and end up winning) is to discard everyone besides aamer, asif, ajmal, fawad, akmal jr. and just bring a new group in with younis as captain (only possible choice or have a young captain from the domestic scene if there is any)
should start looking towards the domestic circuit and bringing in people on merit or potential (if they are young and talented like aamer/umar akmal). doubt that is gonna happen and we will just have farhat/iqbal/hafeez/etc. tried and failed every alternate series
i would prefer a team of newbies than this current batch. who are we kidding? they are dull as **** to watch and i would prefer another team in the semi-finals

his problems were
his narcissistic attitude. of not giving enough credit to performing players
too impulsive in regards to giving up captaincy (but in his favor, he may have been mentally tortured beyond his pathan limitations).
not raising complain or pointing out misfits in the team (maybe giving them chance to correct themselves)
I hate yusuf for conspiracy to get rid of yunus and then stating he took captaincy for nz, aus tour as yunus quit

he was a hope
but definitely not the last and definitely not the only hope
there will be people who'll come up in the future inshAllah
But yes, it would have been a huge bonus for Pakistan cricket had the infighting not happened and we would have had a steady captain and performer in YK
A huge bonus indeed

Pakistan was certainly looking on it's way up under Younis. Malik, Yousuf and Afridi are all dummy captains come yes men, Younis wasn't. That's the main difference.

DUH!!!!
Well the faster I forget abt how YK as captain had the potential to take Pakistan team to the next level, the better I will feel.
I knew the bunch of low-life, lobby making losers we have in our team were at his neck. For all his days as captain after the T20wc last year, I constantly hoped that somehow the people and board realize his value as captain and maintain his job.
But I guess as all good things end up quickly, it was not meant for him to achieve what he himself and so many people who understood his value, had in their minds.

He was a great leader of pakistani team , he know the game situation pretty well , with his quick decisions & harshness in field bought us the last T20 WC.
He was'nt the last hope but the one who can post our Pakistani team at No.1 ranking in all formats
We Love you Younis khan. :14:
please bring him as a captain again :yk

Afridi should never have got the captaincy regardless of results. This based alone on him advocating seniors should get the captaincy when Malik was newly crowned. It was Unprofessional and selfish, and of course I nice boost to the incoming captain.
Next Please.

Yup, YK was the best captain we had in a long time. These jokes like malik, moyo, afridi dont come even close
